Must Read: Half of Obama's Entire Campaign Warchest May Come Illegally Come from Foreign Sources

May come. But there is proof at least much of it comes from foreigners, and because Obama refuses basic disclosure, there's no way to tell about the rest.

Overstatement Alert: I'm warned that the headline overstates and misrepresents. I'm comfortable with it. We know at least a chunk of these small, undisclosed contributions are illegal and from foreign sources. Even with this knowledge in hand, Obama refuses general disclosure regarding them, refusing to afford anyone the opportunity to see if there are more "Mr. Good Wills" donating vast sums of money.

So up to half? Yes, up to half. Is it likely half? No. But given Obama's refusal to disclose where this money is coming from, he deserves the most adverse inference possible.

Prosecutors used to be allowed to say "You may read an adverse inference into the defendant's refusal to testify on his own behalf." That's not the law anymore (thanks, Brennan and Marshall and Warren!), but it's a sound rule.

1 Can't report the generious donations from Putin, Chavez, Castro, Gadafi and DinnerJacket.  To do so would only divide this great nation, and Obama is a uniter.

2 Let me guess: Nothing fucking happens to him and maybe, he will have to give some of it back after the election.

Hard proof that he is in t he pocket of foreign interests would make a great commercial. But, this is a sickening revelation.

3 Perhaps this is some thing the press should look into?  You know, if it weren't in the tank and cooking it polls...

Saul Alinsky would be proud.

In fact, if I were a betting man I'd bet that you'd find some S. Alinsky / Sal Alinsky / Sally Linski donations mixed in there.

Of course Obama is getting his funds illegally from overseas, the fucking bastard.

Will we be lucky enough to have someone [not that someone] pull Deathly's cock out of Diderot's Dog's ass long enough to hear from both of them on this important subject?  Gosh, I sure hope so.

October surprise? And this from the guy who said that his executive experience running his campaign showed was a bit qualification to be President.

This needs to be explored, and if confirmed, fucking blared all over the place.

8 Why shouldn't the rest of the world have its say? After all, Obastard is running for World Dictator, starting in Berlin.

And no one will care about these contributions, even if true. Somehow, we've become less than France in a matter of weeks. At least the French don't hate France, unlike our legions of America-hating Americans. I only wonder now how oppressive the New Mussolini's State under Obama will become.

9 The. Fix. Is. In.  There's no accountability for democrats this year, or for any criminals who are working for democrat campaigns.  The press will cover for you.  Being a democrat or part of their campaign is the new diplomatic immunity.

No accountability.  No fairness.

Obama should immediately acknowledge the "bookkeeping error" and offer to forthrightly address the predatory borrowing crisis by:

donating the money to a fund that will catch up the arrearages of certain predatory borrowers; or

pay off the loan balances for certain of the predatory borrowers

$30 million could address the problems of 10,000 mortgages in arrears, or 300 mortgage balances (assuming $100 thousand balances), or you guys do the math.

But I think it is important that this is confirmed. If there is only a couple thousand dollars involved, then this is small potatoes, and we should move on.

And yes, if this involved McCain on Palin, this would be the banner headline of The Times this Sunday. We all know the fix is in.

But this needs to be verified and documented as more than just a shady anonymous donator here or there, but as something widespread and pervasivie before investing the credibility of the campaign on it.

But if widespread and pervasive.... oh boy.

So, if you set up 1000 different paypal accounts, and send $199 through each of them, none of this money gets reported, since the cumulative total stays under $200?

And since none of it is reported, then no one is informed of the nationality of the sender (as if you can't just lie about that, anyway.)

Seems like this would be pretty easy for a knowledgable Chinese hacker to set up; and the sort of thing a Chavez or Khadaffi wouldn't mind hiring a Chinese hacker to do....

21 There have been questions/rumors circulating for months about individual donations coming in right at the $200 cut off for mandatory reporting. The word being that these donations are coming from cab drivers and convenience store owners and other newly made citizens of middle eastern descent. The theory is that terrorists very wealthy foreigners with a stake in the election are funneling money into the campaign $200 at a time through these individuals.

22 So that explains the spam emails I've been getting where some Nigerian bureaucrat says he'll put $1,000,000 (ONE MILLION) dollars in my Paypal account if I make campaign contributions to The Big Zero!'s campaign.

The word being that these donations are coming from cab drivers and convenience store owners and other newly made citizens of middle eastern descent.

We had a scandal like that in Kentucky here recently in the last gubernatioral election. Waitresses and store clerks from Appalachia and such were giving the max allowed (something like $2000) donations to the candidates. I can't really search and link to it cause I'm at work using the computer with intentionally limited interent capabilities.

But a lot of money was raised by these means.

Posted by: Lee at October 01, 2008 04:26 PM (TxTIh)

26 I think half is a bit much but yes, absolutely, it's already been proven that some of it is from overseas and illegal. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that as much as 25% is. Not that it will matter.

Massie Ritsch, a spokesman for CRP, a campaign-finance watchdog group, dismissed the scale of the unreported money.

Right from the original article...they're not going to do anything about it.

I was writing about this a year ago.  His site, like many of them, allow donations from abroad- presumably for American expats.  But no specific disclosure need be done for donations of $200 or less.  Which means it wouldn't be hard for any rich foreigner to set up a system by which he donates $200 over, and over, and over.  How would it be determined?  If the patron did it right, you'd need a forensic IT guy and hundreds of boots on the ground.  And even then, how can you really know?

So with or without the "new revelation", I'm pretty sure Obama is owned by one or more foreign interests.  How could he be making so much in campaign jack during "the worst economy since the Great Depression" otherwise?

Best Regards

31 I am going to wind up with terminal Tourette's syndrome before all of this is over. If the Commie Obama wins, I will be spending every Saturday down in front of the White House like I did with Clinton telling Obama "Get Out!" among more sordid things.

32 Between the foreign contributions, the domestic shenanigans like Axelrod's astroturfing, and ACORN's voter fraud, they are going to steal this election and the MSM will help them cover it up. If this fuckbag wins the election, I'm going to get a big "Not My President!" bumper-sticker and repeat everything the Bush-haters said in the last eight years.

Wanna open bets on how soon before Teleprompter Jesus' Thought Crimes Unit tries arresting me?
