| Democrats In 2004…There Are No Problems At Fannie Mae Or Freddie Mac!Caught on tape…Republicans warning about the problems caused by handing out mortgages like candy on Halloween and Democrats claiming those concerns were simply a way to stop poor people from getting homes. Behold video you won’t be seeing in the MSM…CommentsPosted by: Sen. Rev. Dr. E Buzz at September 29, 2008 10:54 AM (PAObW) 2
Why isn't there a "I'm John McCain and I approve this message" tag at the end?

You know, the NRO and the Standard could really make some hay here if they would simply call the folk in the MSM...Blitzer and Kurtz and the rest and ask them why they have buried this. Why don't they? Wy won't they? Why haven't they? Is it that NRO folk don't own cell phones, or is that they are too busy hammering on Sarah Plain to do any thing else? Honestly what is their point? Why are they there? I honestly can see no point for them or in them.

Was in New York back in January 2007 when HSBC was the canary in the coal mine with the subprime blowup. I remember speaking witha friend who had worked as a mortgage broker and everything up in the mortgage finance business. He said it would end with the taxpayers picking up the tab after a couple bancks had gone bust. this was Jan 2007.
Latest he said to expect an Enron like trial for some executive, possible fannie and freddie. should be interesting. Posted by: konrad at September 29, 2008 11:00 AM (2Pfrj) 6

McCain and Palin need to hammer this home. The MSM won't cover it until McCain/Palin bring it up when they have MSM camera and mic time. In fact, they should talk about nothing else until the MSM addresses it. Any question not related to this mess goes unanswered. Palin should use her time on Thursday to drive this home and not follow Ivers agenda/questions. This is the number one item on American's minds and they need to attack and not take the "high road" because there isn't one in this case.

This is the sort of thing that makes me worry that our political system is totally broken. It's right there; the smoking gun, their own words damning them... and they'll walk away unscathed, maybe even with a big barrel of pork under their arms. Absolutely terrible. What happened to the country that could overthrow their own government and establish a new one in a bloodless revolution based on nothing more than practicality and philosophy? (I speak here of the ratification of the Constitution.) The country that could engage in a "great national discussion"! How far we have come! Well, it is our job. Free speech isn't shut down yet. I already e-mailed this video to dozens of friends, Dem, Indie, and Pac alike. Let's get the word out, everyday. Posted by: Shillelagh at September 29, 2008 11:18 AM (Oz4Bj) 15

What the Democrats have been saying lately goes beyond spin. It is enough to put the old Soviet Pravda to shame and has less truth than a Hugo Chavez election.
Phil Graham spent his career trying to get rid of CRA and failed, now they blame him for deregulation. Well heck, the deregulation that is causing the problem is Fannie and Freddie. Clinton did that and made CRA worse and Phil was out of congress when the Democrats last blocked attempts to re-regulate them. This is doublespeak. The deregulation that Graham favored involved reducing the prohibition of certain business lines to bank holding companies to allow them to compete worldwide.. Banks have always been allowed to hold mortages, in one form or another, and that is the problem, not Phil Graham. Posted by: Robert at September 29, 2008 11:25 AM (Rb4Qc) 17

You don't understand, the facts are irrelevant, specially if they are damaging to democrats. The script has been written and will not be altered. The corrupt republicans are responsible for the mess and we must thank the democrats for saving us and the rest of the world. All that matters is that 51% of the American people be stupid enough or misinformed enough to by the script. As we have seen this is not a difficult task if you repeat it night and day, have the MSM in the tank and a sheepish republican party that does not have the balls or the ability to get the truth out and make it relevant.

I was at that hearing and it was hilarious watching those Democrats trashing Falcon, who was the OFHEO Director appointed by Bill Clinton. The Black Caucus members all closed ranks around Brother Raines. There's another one out there that's even better if anyone can find the footage. Richard Baker got hold of the executive compensation lost for Fannie in 2004. Fannire threatened to sue him to keep him from releasing it. (Sound familiar?) But he did anyway. Chris Shays was ready to kill someone in that hearing. Posted by: rockmom at September 29, 2008 12:00 PM (iZqUY) 34

Posted by: Rocks at September 29, 2008 11:12 AM (Q1lie) Let me try to explain this. Republicans probably had the votes in 2003-4 for a GSE reform bill. But it would have been a party line vote, and even some liberal Republicans might have voted against it. The Black Caucus would have been screaming racism, and Fannie and Freddie would have run TV and newspaper ads saying "why don't House Republicans like homeownership?" It was an arcane argument to make at that time, when the housing and mortgage market was booming and making everyone rich, that Fannie and Freddie were taking on excessive risk. And there were certainly not 60 votes in the Senate to pass a bill, ever. House Republicans were not keen on a kamikaze mission of "voting against homeownership" only to have it die in the Senate. Fannie was smart. It put all its eggs in the Democrat basket, and as a result it had almost unanimous support from Democrats to block any serious regulation. It's going to be a fun 4 years under President Obama and the Democrat-Media Complex. Leftist Supreme Court appointments. DOJ investigations into Republicans past present living and dead. The Fairness Doctrine. $50,000,000,000 US funds to the UN for anti-poverty initiatives. US energy reserves off-limits while Obama bets the economy on wind power. A national press more compliant than a bitch dog in heat, running front page stories of adoration of The One every day, in a manner that would make Orwell's "Ministry Of Truth" blush. A rollback of US military and defense development that weakens our country. The preception by terrorists organizations that the back door to the US is open, and the time is right for attacks inside the US. A President who goes out of his way to suck Europe's cock.
We will have to re-evaluate Carter and Clinton after Obama is through.

"I’ve tried to explain the roots of this problem to several people and their eyes just glaze over. " Yeah I have tried too. No one really follows it. I have had a little more sucess claiming that this problem was created by Democrat's pushing for more and more un-credit worthy home loans over the last 15 years. Then I say, Clinton tried to stop it, Bush tried to stop it, McCain tried to stop it and they all failed against the entrenched corruption in the House (& maybe mention Dodd and Frank if whoever I am talking too might know who those are). So simply lay the blame at greedy/corrupt dem's in congress that no one has been able to root out regardless if they are Dem or Rep. At this point I am less concerned about the accuracy of my disscussions then trying to counter the various lies out there (Bush did it!) The mention of Clinton is more for neutral friends so that I do not appear as a complete in-the-tank righty.

Folks, we are misdirecting our frustrations and anger. Yeah, I am chomping at the bit for McCain to unleash hell on these imbeciles too, but let’s use our heads in equal proportion to our hearts. McCain running on this at present would be like running naked and alone against a hail of arrows so great as to block out the sun. Sure, it would be a brave and glorious death… but it would amount to nothing. Let us assess fault and blame where it belongs. Our government was founded to be of the people, by the people and for the people. That means that the responsibility is OURS to take definitive action. For too long, our side and our party has stood idly by, making donations and pointing fingers at our isolated representatives while doing nothing ourselves. Our opposition is rabble, but they are organized and out there making their individual voices heard in unison. They are taking aggressive action, even if it is ignorant and misguided. Meanwhile, we dismiss them as insignificant and have become lazy and complacent in our superior knowledge and understanding. What is required is not only the action of our dwindling representation, since we have allowed their numbers and influence to plummet. What is an isolated voice of reason in contrast to a howling and insane mob who are fighting to protect their ill-gotten rewards and cover up for their crimes? Stop blaming McCain and the Republicans. The sins are our own for allowing things to deteriorate this far. It is up to us to counter and overturn the actions of our opposition and provide a foundation, forum and cover for those who represent us to push the fight further. If you are resolved to anger, then focus that anger on an personal accountability for this crisis. Otherwise, we are no better than those whom we oppose; as we cry injustice and seek the handouts and actions from others to right our wrongs. Of the people, by the people and for the people- never forget that this is OUR government and OUR nation. It’s time that we accept personal responsibility for it. Frank Raines needed help. He had to convince the board of Fannie Mae. When you examine the board at the time of his serving you will see James A. Johnson and Jamie Gorelick.
But you cannot stop with just the Democrats. There are more Democrats at Fannie Mae, but there are also Republicans like Stephen Freidman. He resigned in 2002 from the Fannie Board to become an adviser to President Bush. Prior to Fannie, Freidman was CHAIRMAN OF GOLDMAN SACHS. He retired from GS in 1994 after 28 years with the firm. Fannie Mae was a huge component in absorbing terrible risk from Wall Street investment banks. As you pass a piece of shit up the food chain, it's still a piece of shit to the last holder. Yep, if only their congressmen were texting underage pages. This is simply to complicated to understand for the average American trying to pay bills and take their kids to school. The dems are, in my mind, fatally corrupt, but their corruption can not be explained in a 30 second sound bite. I just caught a bit of Jane Skinner speaking with Obama's head campaign guy. The guy was explaining how Obama is working with the leaders over the phone, going over the details to make sure the bailout bill is in the best interest of the American people. Then Burton turned around and said (not verbatim), And once he's president he'll go through it line by line and make sure it's good for the people. JS then asked, shouldn't he be going through it line by line, now? And the guy got all flustered with the uh .. .uh . .well, as president it'll be his job . .. JS said, Isn't it his job to do that now? Campaign guy, Well, uh uh uh once he's president uh uh he'll have the power to make sure uh uh all the money's going where it should be . .. I thought for sure he'd end with, "Yeah, that's the ticket!" So I guess, this is the way Obama will say, I had no idea what was in the bill. They assured me my stuff was in there. How was I to know? I guess I made a misjudgment. He did say O would be there for the vote. I wonder if he'll vote present? Posted by: estee at September 29, 2008 01:06 PM (51h4I) 66
HawaiiLwyr-probably, but then you do it because (and here's a novel idea for Washington), it's the right thing to do!!! The media is what it is, the Dems are what they are, if we let them dictate our course of action-when we are solidly in the majority-we hand them victory, which is pretty much where we are now. Posted by: don erico at September 29, 2008 12:44 PM (sDDDA) Forgive me, but I will answer your question with question: What leadership has the other side shown? Who is it that have galvanized their actions? The answer is no one. They have been successful in their own way out of nothing but sheer ignorance. Rather than wait for a call to action, they have instead run out of their doors, screaming their ignorant heads off until they could no longer be ignored. They have no facts, message or consistency; other than being loud and opposed to the "estabishment". That is why the vacous and ill defined theme of "Change" and "Hope" has resonated so effectively- people have no idea what it means, they simply parrot it because they think it means opposing whatever unsubstantiated nonsense they have been screaming about. We are imposing structure and sanity in opposition to a raving mob that no concept of these ideas. They are organized through chaos. We are fighting in the style of Red Coats against a chaotic band who are engaged in Guerilla Warefare. We know how well that strategy has worked out throughout history. The people we oppose are not confined by rules, etiqute, structure or organization. They are true, grassroots "organization" who know little but shout consistently and loudly. They seek "Change" regardless of what that means because they fight from despiration and not reason. You can't talk sense to a mob, but they are easily rallied by feeding their delusions and emotion. That is what Obama has done. Hitler did the same in his time when he came to power by feeding the discontent and emotion, then directing it at a scapegoat. Tactics like these turn good, thinking people into mindless beasts who are bent on revenge. We made the mistake in WWII of waiting for a rallying point and the banner of leadership... and it nearly cost us the world. We did not win through light and reason, we won by exploiting the enemy and using brute force to crush insanity. The same must happen now. Posted by: Damiano at September 29, 2008 01:24 PM (cfKer) 68

( If you're interested check Hot Air for that) Look guys as along as you elect (and read for that matter) Republicans who are more interested in being popular with CNN than telling the rest of us the truth you will always have this. If you want to reverse it get rid of the NRO andthe Standard and back some effective media organizations. Ones that will tell you the truth about MSM reporters. Until you do that yo will always be saddled with this. I'm sorry it is that way, but it is. Republican media has becom an outright thorn in the side of Republican principles you let them contiue that way at your party's risk.

Unless something changes drastically in the upcoming debates... or this Bambi shithead makes a major fucking blunder... this fucking Bambi is going to waltz into the fucking WH. It fucking pains me to say it... I'm fucking sick over it, but this fucker has one hell of a propaganda marketing machine and John fucking McCain can't do a motherfucking thing about it... MOTHERFUCK?!
Posted by: Bobaloo at September 29, 2008 01:32 PM (CoOYX) 70
I don't know that Damian is completely right (mostly because I hope things aren't as bad as he makes them seem) but he is definitely right in this. The media is fighting an all out war against Repubs and free markets and Democracy. Truth and decency do not count in thier word. The Repubs can no longer allow their media arms (The Standard and the NRO) to be bystanders. either you must insist they become combatants or find another media arm... or be defeated. If not in this election ( I suspect McCain is goingto win despite the media's insanity) then in the next. You will fight or you will be crushed. Blaming Palin is simply a way for Allah and Krisol and Barnes and Lowry to absolve themselves of all blame for what is happening in th media and at the same time play both ends off against the middle. The Standart and the NRO must finally pick a side the media's or the truth. There is no longer an in between.

Thanks for the limited support, Obvious, and I have full respect for your argument. Let's assume that I am wrong on my conclusions. What remains is that we still have misguided action vs. complacency. Until we, individually and as a group, actively counter our opposition (Dems, MSM, etc.) in equal or greater measure than our opponents, we will lose; regardless of the effectiveness (or not) of our leadership. Posted by: Damiano at September 29, 2008 01:51 PM (cfKer) 73
I'm in agreement with Damianothat our opponents cannot be swayed by reason. For whatever reasons, they cannot be helped. They are our enemies and the enemies of all the good thing for which America stands, and they are dangerous.
Posted by: Shillelagh at September 29, 2008 01:52 PM (Oz4Bj) 74
Damiano, First, let me say that I agree with most of what you have posted I am simply asking the questions to stimulate what I think is a very important conversation for the conservative movement. What leadership has the other side shown? Who is it that have galvanized their actions? The answer is no one. They have been successful in their own way out of nothing but sheer ignorance. Rather than wait for a call to action, they have instead run out of their doors, screaming their ignorant heads off until they could no longer be ignored. Posted by: Damiano at September 29, 2008 01:24 PM (cfKer) I am not sure I totally agree with this. I think they have responded to the call of the leftist intelligentsia propagated through academia, the MSM and the democratic party. And I think they have responded because the call appeals to their lower natures, to the what-is-in-it-for-me and don't-judge-my-libertine-lifestyle mentality. The policies implemented by the democrats are specifically designed to perpetuate this philosophy. Liberals are the champions of mediocrity disguised as "charity" and "tolerance". Yes there is not a one person I can point to as the leader galvanizing the left, but there seems to be a unity and a well developed set of strategies and tactics used by the enemy. I believe conservatism needs something similar, I just don't know how it will happen. I agree that it has to be a grassroots effort and perhaps all we can do is each of us take care of of their little corner.

SGT, we need all of you to get involved in schools, school board, ptsa, curriculum adoption committees, community meetings, etc. I'm the only vet teacher in our group of 3 schools. When I was growing up, almost all the male teachers were vets. Schools need your perspectives, we'll never win if we don't fight these motherfuckers. I understand not everyone has the time to be involved, but encourage others with our beliefs to pitch in. Tell the young men you know to consider careers in education. The money isn't bad, there's an assload of time off, and there are tons of easy single moms. The libs are in the wire and we're firing the FPF! Way to teach a dog infected with love and enjoyment of the people around them is
dog training. Not all the people who
keep the dog know how to
train a puppy, but who often find it impossible to carry out dog obedience training
, people who have a different feel that they do so. Although some people will
tend to the field of veterinary medicine, other people will choose more specific
career dog. Perhaps the most popular dog-centric professional area is that dog
training. Police dog training is a great way for those who love the dogs, to
help them use and dissemination of information. One important thing to remember
is that the dog trainer can not only teach dog tricks and
working dogs and their masters. In fact, owners tend to play a bigger roll than
the dogs training process. Some people
choose to learn some dog training tips
from an experienced coach or a veterinary surgeon of similar projects in the
apprenticeship. This is often useful, because many of these puppies training
experience in the field and constant practice. Customers will often choose a
coach approved no more than one certification. Other routes may be the next dog
learning how to train a
puppy through the animal science program behavior. Do you know how to lose weight? No matter how
you do, do not skip breakfast. People who began the day a good healthy breakfast
does not have loss

you prefer to drink your breakfast to reach weight loss, fruit juice is a good
choice. All you need to do is the integration and go! Super simple! In addition,
how to lose pounds? Plan your meals so
you eat every 3-4 hours, about 5-6 times a day. Do you want to ensure that your
last meal is 3-4 hours, and then go to bed. It seems to eat more frequently in
the first strange, but studies ways to
lose weight by the books and internet, you¡¯ll not only lose pounds success, but also have the
energy level of the day. Are you annoying with belly fat? I am sure you hear that
sit-ups are one of the best belly fat exercises. How to lose belly fat? There are
not only belly fat
exercises, but have belly fat
diet. Although it is entirely correct sit-ups will strengthen the abdominal
muscles and make you more powerful in this regard, you may get rid of

maybe you are considering how to make children work in additional funds. jobs for 15 year olds are so many.
However, we know that you will not find real jobs for kids for
you; you just need a working pocket money. Finding jobs for 16 year olds is not a
difficult task. To make money
online, first you need to make necessary preparations. In any field or
industry you need in all walks of life through appropriate channels to meet
their own, in order to succeed. Can you imagine how to starting your own business? It
would be a good way to Make Money on
the Internet and move forward at full speed is going to just be disastrous.
In the network marketing, you can set up shop online,
start flower
shop, or you can start
carpet cleaning business. In my opinion, there are also other popular ways to
make money, for instance, So starting a
laundromat business at home, another way is to manage furniture making
business at home. Brining a new dog into your home is an exciting time for
the whole family, not to mention the dog. The first dog training supplies you should
buy, before you even bring the dog home, are a food and water bowl, collar,
leash, food and a bed. If you have another dog in the home and were thinking of
having them both share a bowl, think dog training products again.
Sometimes a new dog can be aggressive, or be attacked when trying to feed in a
joint bowl. It's best to let the dog know what is his , for food and water.
There are different types of anti bark
collar. One type is remote dog
collar. As the name suggests, it is used to stop a dog from constant,
inappropriate barking. This collar is triggered by the dogs bark. remote
bark collar works by either a vibration or a sound that is felt or heard by
the dog the instant the barking starts. It can be set to different levels and
responds only to your dogs bark. There are also dog bark
collar that work by spraying an unpleasant spray towards the dogs face as
soon as he starts barking. Selecting a underground
dog Fence or pet fence to install your self at your home can be very
confusing. Most of the market is Dominated by Radio Systems Corporation. They
are the makers of PetSafe, InvisibleFence, and Innotek. While these products do
well at containing a dog within a in ground dog
fence they do have their limitations. First the country of manufacture is
China. Sometimes there is a problem with consistency of signal, the signal will
expand or contract based on temperature, not all of these systems exhibit this
problem, but it does exist. Oil
painting reproduction is an affordable way to display replicas of favorite
works of art in the home or workplace. If you want to wholesale oil painting, A large
number of companies in the US provide reproductions of almost any work of art at
a surprisingly affordable price. A good reproduction can fool even the trained
eye, and is far more appealing and visually satisfying than a paper reprint of
any work of art.
