Obama Camp Denies Involvement With Winner Smear Video; Blames McCain

I think they're lying. I think they produced this video in house, then realized what a stinking pile of lies it was, and so coudn't run it themselves.

So they sent it to their friends (and colleagues) at Winner & Associates and told them "Take it viral."

And Ethan Winner passed it to his friend Geekesque to spread on Daily Kos. (Geekesque denies this, incidentally: But not convincingly. Athough he's pretty afraid I'll out him (though I won't, and I told him so), when I tell him how I know he's in LA, a quarter of a mile from Winner & Associates, he tells me no, check my IP, I'm in New York -- strange that someone wanting to protect his identity would try to bluff me off out of the wrong city and put me on track as to the right city.)

Whether the above can be proved, I don't know. But their voice-over woman sounds exactly like Axelrod's.

As far as McCain's involvement: Let me personally say I myself tried to get help from anyone in the McCain camp -- just the name of a lawyer who might help -- and got no response at all. I only wrote because Rusty had told me "they never answered me." So I figured I, Conservative Blogger of the Year Ace of Spades, could get an answer.

None.

So the people responsibe for the orginal smear are now making fresh smears.

Ethan Winner has not explained to us who his Mystery Voice-Over Woman is. Of course he will not. He can't.

Geekesque, by the way, has shut down his viral smeal internet group.

Odd that all the rats have abandoned ship at pretty much the exact same time.

I guess viral attacks aren't where it's at in 2008 anymore.

Still, the whole event caused at least a minor tremor in Team Obama day to day activities so that is something.

Regarding campaign advertizing:

As many already know, Bloomberg ran an essay yesterday entitled, "How the Democrats Created the Financial Crisis" and, this essay nails it concisely (probably as close as we're gonna get to a smoking gun).

The McCain campaign needs to produce a couple excellent ads explaining to the American people what went wrong and why America cannot afford any more ME FIRST, COUNTRY SECOND obstructionist politicians.

This is very serious business and with $1Tril on the line taxpayers cannot afford to have Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Barack Obama, and Bumbling Joe in charge of protecting the taxpayer. They've had their chance AND THEY ABSOLUTELY BLEW IT!

ONCE AGAIN, OBAMA WAS DEAD WRONG on a major issue confronting this country - one that will noe cost taxpayers trillions.

McCain needs to produce some 30/60 second video spots and print ads for paid publication/ broadcast; and some much longer ones (2-5 minute videos) to run on free media outlets such as blogs and YouTube.

Obama and his cohorts could have resolved this quietly back in 2005, avoided the crisis, and not be facing accountability today. They didn't! Let's not now be squemish about placing blame where it belongs. This is not a non-partisan crisis, in 2005 it was DEMOCRATS that stonewalled John McCains reform bill and let's not let anybody be confused about that REALITY.

43 It should not be too difficult to make speech sonograms of the voice talent on the two different videos and compare them. When my daughter took a freshman linguistics course at Michigan she used a public domain program that did this. I don't know whether voiceprint comparisons suffice for forensic purposes, but it would carry more weight than opinions that the voice sounds the same.
