| Delicious: Bill Clinton Ponders, Why Vote for a Changey Hopey Sort of Candidate Who Can't Actually Deliver or Win?It's so much 200-proof awesome I just got cirrhosis of the awesome. The former president, speaking in Denver, posed a hypothetical question in which he seemed to suggest that that the Democratic Party was making a mistake in choosing Obama as its presidential nominee. He said: “Suppose you’re a voter, and you’ve got candidate X and candidate Y. Candidate X agrees with you on everything, but you don’t think that candidate can deliver on anything at all. Candidate Y you agree with on about half the issues, but he can deliver. Which candidate are you going to vote for?” Then, perhaps mindful of how his off-the-cuff remarks might be taken, Clinton added after a pause: “This has nothing to do with what’s going on now.”Ha, ha, ha. You bought him, liberals. You own him. He's all yours. How are you enjoying your purchase? Are you satisfied with the product? Are you satisfied with the customer service? Would you order from this outfit again? If so, you still have a chance to order a similar model -- but there are only three days left to place your order. Comments1
Damn it! I'm out of popcorn! I'll have to pick up more tonight.

I'd say there's like 35% chance in his speech tomorrow night he winds up endorsing Hillary or failing that, McCain.

The Clintons might be hoping for a Ford/Reagan '76 we-picked-the-wrong-man moment on the convention floor.

With the Clintons behind you, you'd better hope there is nobody in front of you wishing to do you harm.

The problem is, though, Hillary isn't Reaganesque and she's only barely more qualified than Obama for POTUS.

And of course if there is any serious effort to get Her Thighness back into contention out of DNC buyer's remorse with the Messiah, the anarchist weirdos with the bandanas and the hoodies outside will burn the place down around their ears. Neat, huh? Like Hitler's Brownshirts, only a lot smellier and they can't march properly.

The Clintons have no loyalty to the Democratic Party. Their loyalty is only to themselves. If they thought Hilary could be nominated by Bill's speech, he would rouse the rabble to her cause with the greatest demagoguery imaginable. The Clinton's would gladly derail the Obama Express and not lose one seconds sleep over it. In fact, they might sleep better having done it.

Bill is right.
Mccain will do a better job for the truly patriotic democrats than Obama will. Mccain will compromise on a lot of non-essential stuff, he will fight corruption in both parties, and he will do his level best to prevent another 9/11. Obama will lead to massive resistance, a more deeply divided nation, and his accomplishments will all have unexpected downsides. He will go too far, and will have backlashes. Already, Obama won't tolerate civil speech criticising him. What happens when he has executive power and I criticize him? Do I get prosecuted too? Nah, it's a legit argument that dems should vote for Mccain, just on his judgment alone. He isn't a right winger, which pisses right wingers off, but most of us admit that he will try to curtail spending, is honest, and is a great leader on foreign policy. The more the Clintons and others point this out, the worse things get for Obama, who is sinking in the polls even as his convention hits full swing. Just as funny from DU is the insistence of some that this is just a right wing media plot to sow discord among the Democrats. Yeah, I hate imagine where Obama could be now if it weren't for that right wing anti-Obama media. Its always a conspiracy for them. They always need some massive underhanded plot to be out for them. I don't think that most conservatives, while believing that the media is against them, are in some underground lair plotting the downfall of conservatives. They just recognize the disproportionate representation of liberals in the media, and apply the addage of birds of a feather. Posted by: buzzion at August 26, 2008 04:10 PM (Lrsi6) 32

Spartan Fan: Pussies don't like dicks, because pussies get fucked by dicks. But dicks also fuck assholes: assholes that just want to shit on everything. Pussies may think they can deal with assholes their way. But the only thing that can fuck an asshole is a dick, with some balls. The problem with dicks is: they fuck too much or fuck when it isn't appropriate - and it takes a pussy to show them that. But sometimes, pussies can be so full of shit that they become assholes themselves... because pussies are an inch and half away from ass holes. I don't know much about this crazy, crazy world, but I do know this: If you don't let us fuck this asshole, we're going to have our dicks and pussies all covered in shit! Don't forget to save the original packaging if you want a refund or exchange. Damn. It's just great reading this blog during this kornvention. From James Taranto on the sixteenth Street Mall in Denver:
We give up on the bus when we see some two dozen HCBEs marching south, away from Union Station, chanting, "Election, not selection!" We ask a woman toward the back of the line if she is part of the McCain group. She says no, she and her colleagues are still hoping Mrs. Clinton wins the Democratic nomination. "We just can't let go yet. She won." Posted by: WalrusRex at August 26, 2008 04:38 PM (DVVXZ) 38

Yeah, I bought that 42" HDTV. You know, the one they advertised in the Sunday paper? Well, anyway I bring it home and the picture is great. So, the Missus says, "Why don't we get a Blu-ray player?" No HDMI connection to the TV!!!

"...Ha, ha, ha. You bought him, liberals. You own him. He's all yours. How are you enjoying your purchase?..." I couldn't agree more. This is an I-told-you-so moment for the R's and conservatives in general. By not convicting Clinton of his impeachment charges, the D party became intertwined with the Clinton machine. This, of course, was most manifested in the Hillary! (sic) election to the Senate on the thin platform that she was America's Most Scorned Woman. Roll the clock forward to 2007, and Hillary became the "inevitable" candidate sucking all the oxygen out of the room. Lo and behold, she wasn't really all that inevitable, and Obama was able to cruise through the primary process with little-to-no examination of who he was before he gained enough momentum to drive off the lesser challengers and win over the media. Had the D's gone along and removed Clinton from office, I believe the D party would be wholy different than it is today. They'd have certainly lost the 2000 election (and, after 9/11, there was no question that Bush was going to be re-elected). However, I believe that by this point, had the Clintons been sent packing, the D party would have begun to heal by now, and they'd have grown a decent crop of candidates with far better qualifications for office than Obama has. The D's are still suffering their failure to impeach a thoroughly corrupt President. I think Obama is going down hard in Nov. Posted by: azlibertarian at August 26, 2008 05:07 PM (LHg/U) 43

This is kind of like Ford vs. Reagan in '76. After he lost, Ron made one helluva spell-binding speech before the convention and some delegates were heard to say, "maybe we voted for the wrong guy."
Ford went on to bumblefuck his way to a loss to Jimmy Carter, and Reagan ascended to greatness. Posted by: OregonMuse at August 26, 2008 05:23 PM (FO+YO) 45

If Clinton resignes in 98 a sitting President Gore would have beaten Bush easily. The NASDAQ was just starting to burst and the economy was showing signs of slowing down but the MSM could still present it as good times, with Gore being the 'path' to continuing the good times. Remember how much trouble Bush got into then by saying something innocuous like 'the leading indicators indicate the economy is slowing'? The MSM said he was trying to talk down the economy. After that, it's anyone's guess. Is there a ground war in Afghanistan or would we have just bombed? What happens with Iraq, Pakistan, Iran? Cases can be made in all different directions but nobody knows. But a sitting President Gore running for election during good economic times and relative peace? Landslide. As it was, it was a coin flip. But that's only because Gore ran from the political centrism (aka faux centrism to be defended by the MSM) of Clinton's terms. And Bob Shrum got the call again in 2004 from Kerry. Simply stunning.

This is all part of the storyline that they are setting up. No unity, they are faling apart, what is the spurrned Hillary going to say or do. What will Bill say or do, Bill is angry that Obama people wont let him do his own speech!!
After all the build up, they will all come together and give their all in gushing speeches (that mean nothing) and Obama will have unified the Dems and he will have done it in front of the entire world, after all...we are all watching it. Hence, its all scripted BS in an atempt to show that Obama actually "can" do something for the first time in his career.
Of course it would be delicsous to see some shots taken by the Clintons but thats a daydream. Posted by: Drider at August 26, 2008 05:56 PM (IQAbf) 50

Almost all the items like these that are sold on the internet are imitations of the real ones. If you want to purchase original watches, handbags, or jewelries, their outlets are your choice. But some imitations are high quality, for example, two years ago, i bought a Breitling replica watch from a website, now this watch is still working well.
