Insofar as the last few days have improved John McCain's image among Conservatives, and also reminded them of what a bunch of petty, lying lunatics make up McCain's opposition; this has served to rally McCain's base. Sooner or later the rest of the country's going to follow suit. I'm thinking the House may well return to the Repubs this year.

I mentioned earlier this year that I voted for Ron Paul out of frustration with John McCain's continual posturing as "the media candidate". It seems McCain has realised that the media prefers messianic Leftists. I don't know what influence the Paul (and Huckabee) voters had on him, but I do know he's listening to his base now. For what it's worth, I'm sorry I voted for Ron Paul.
