Look on the bright side: all of this Russia/Georgia saber rattling has allowed me to post my favorite political ad of all time, the timeless "Bear in the Woods" ad from the 1984 US presidential campaign. Mr. Putin has resurrected the need for the total containment of Russia and a new Cold War. Brrrrrr!
This ad summed up the whole debate on how best to handle the US/Soviet conflict in 30 seconds of pure political magic. As poignant today as it was 25 years ago. Suck it Liberals! Enjoy!

Excellent. Remember it like it was yesterday. Well ... more like it was last month, but you know what I mean.

I, for one, would like to thank Vlad for giving us the opportunity to roll this ad back out. Since the end of the Cold War, the closest we've been able to come is snarkily responding "Does a bear shit in the woods?" as an affirmative response to a stupid yes/no question.
