Meanwhile, in one of the most absurd lies Hillary has yet uttered, she insists that she can "control" Bill Clinton. Oh, yeah. She's been on the ball with that for years, huh? She's really got her man p-whipped, doesn't she? Short leash on that hound.

When I think of the possibility that Bill will get back into the White House, having already proved himself impeachment-immune, and with no constitutional constraints, and with no other job to do but to be his crooked self, and with full access to every bit of secret information available to any president, and with his famously vindictive thirst for revenge, and with his demonstrated unconcern for niceties like national security -- well a little hound-dogging is the least of my worries.

Which is why I'd take an Obama, no matter how liberal, over a return of Clintons, Inc., any day.

8 I seriously think Bill doesn't want Hill to win . . . after all, this is a man who is, above all else, concerned with his legacy. If she wins, his legacy will be that he was her husband and the first First Hubby. I'm guessing his ego won't take that.

Hillary has remarked how Bill is a force of nature. How can she expect to control a force of nature? (although she does have the frigid blast thing down pat).

@Scout: I think Bill sees Hillary being elected as cementing his legacy; after all, if he can get his cuckolded spouse elected to the highest office in the land basically on his assuance of how good she'll be, there is little politically that he can't do. He's just not used to the press not playing along when he occupies Nixonland.

12 Personally I liked Bill Clinton's quote in Denver, regarding Global Warming (from Taranto's best of the web today).

"We just have to slow down our economy and cut back our greenhouse gas emissions 'cause we have to save the planet for our grandchildren."

Because what everyone wants to hear from a Presidential Candidate's plan is how to "slow down the economy".

Although, I guess that doesn't really show he wasn't under Hillary's control. Maybe she really is looking for ways to deliberately and actively cripple the U.S. economy.

Might make a good debate question.
