Heath Ledger Dead At 28 Due To Likely Drug Overdose

I'm guessing a suicide. But who knows.

I'll just never understand drug use by the incredibly rich and famous. Guys? You're lives are already an ecstatic surreal hallucination of nonstop pleasure and thrills. Why the hell do you have to gild the lily?

This is going to make his supposedly starmaking turn as The Joker even creepier. I wonder if they'll have to reshoot the ending -- if The Joker dies at the end (not sure he will, of course) they'll probably not want Ledger dying on screen so soon after his actual death.

Which wouldn't bother me at all. The Batman films have killed off far too many of his villains; lock them in Arkham as they do in the comics.

Ledger As The Joker: Michael Caine said that everyone would be talking about his performance, and Michael Caine hasn't lied to me yet.

Well, he did mislead me quite a bit with Jaws IV: The Revenge. And The Island. And Blame It On Rio. And... well, about half the movies he's made.

Okay, Michael Caine has pretty much lied to me nonstop since I first met him at age 6, but I still think he's cool.

An Underrated Movie: A Knight's Tale was goofy but fun.

Speaking of tragedies, it would be a shame if No Country for Old Men wins best picture. It sucked.

Tommy Lee Jones' character, a ragtime-talking half-retired sheriff was pointless in the movie. And what's with the non-ending ending? Screw you, Coen brothers, if you can't think of an ending. I don't care if it's like that in the book, too. I want an ending!

The movie was stupid, anyway. Only a Hollywood rump-swab like Charlie Rose would see any value to this crap film.

24 I also have mixed feelings about Ledger's death. He has a two year old daughter. Suicide is devastating to a child and statistically they are more likely to commit suicide themselves. It's a terrible legacy to leave your kid.

The specific person (the last person they focus on before Tommy Lee Jones) got away with it. That's the ending.

When he/she walks out of the house, the person checks the bottom of the shoes (that's because he/she is checking for blood, to see if that was tracked on the shoes, the other person was killed). That person's opponents are dead and that person walks away (forgive me if I'm stating the obvious here) and that's all there is to it.
