British Spy: US Intelligence (Giggle) Community Either Got Played Or Is Attempting To Play The American Public

A bit of news from the British: part of a country's spycraft sometimes includes disinformation intended to be "intercepted" in order to mislead eavesdroppers.

The CIA is said to be "shocked" and "appalled" that a foreign nation would stoop to such deception.

But the more deadly charge -- apart from gross incompetency, which we've come to expect from our intelligence (chuckle) services -- is that they're simply lying about their true conclusions because they seek to influence American policy through "twisted" and "cherry-picked" intelligence.

Step 3: Military advance on Iran.

Step 4: Counter the liberal whining with a statement that we're simply doing this for the Liberal Elite Europeans (you know, the ones the Liberals love)... and the Bush Administration didn't want to do this at all.

Step 5: Stand back for the exploding heads.

I'll admit, he usually isn't this obvious; but really the only possible trip-up here was if the Europeans didn't go for step two. Damn evil-genius level planning there.

You might want to note that in July, the same CIA guy was saying that the Iranians DO have intentions of developing nuclear weapons. He just changed his guess all of a sudden.

Now, you're going into an empty building shopping mall, and there's a nut in there shouting about Death to America, and Death to Israel. A few minutes ago the security mall people were saying that they were pretty sure he has a gun. Now the Security guy in the store you're in is saying that they don't think he does have a gun.

How is it best to proceed?

A. Assume that the previous reports by your Security guy and others were wrong and go about your shopping.

B. Assume that there still may be reason to believe that he's armed.

You make the call.
