Shocker Harvard study: media is biased

I know, I know, it can't possibly be true. There's gotta be sampling errors, bugs in the software, malfunctioning Ouija boards or something along those lines rendering this study specious.

Democrats are not only favored in the tone of the coverage. They get more coverage period...

The difference there is that Democrats by and large seem to be allergic to the "liberal" label, while Republicans are generally proud of a "conservative" label. What we tend to find offsetting is the MSM's strange predisposition to refer to the average Republican as "extreme right-wing", "fundamentalist", or various other adjectives that may or may not fit, but apparently there exists no counterpart thinly veiled pejorative to describe those on the left wing.

Oh, except of course when using the terms "blue-dog democrat", or "conservative democrat".

I recommend that to everyone. One ought to be discering with regard to one's sources of information. But not everyone has the time to learn about the various sources of information. (Frankly, I think blogs are the best because of the amount of scrutiny they are subject to. It is easier to update information, provide more information, or make corrections, thereby allowing one to be more up-to-date.)

The biggest travesty is the meme spread that journalists are reporters and not political hacks. This misleads everyone and should be cleared up.
