Looking For Comedy In The Muslim World

Big laughs as this cat, a Muslim student at the University of Texas at San Antonio, obviously thinks he's pretty funny as he harasses a female Muslim student and then repeatedly asks a Jewish one what the Jews' greatest accomplishment was.

He offers his own answer over and over: "9/11."

Arrogant ignorance, the worst stupidity of all.

Analysis by Jeff Goldstein:

'm interested to hear what the diversity czars and the risk-averse university bureaucrats have to say about this kind of identitarian political activism — not because I'm particularly bothered by it (the video shows the MSA for the repressive ideologues and wannabe zealous thugs they are, and frankly, I find it refreshing to see such free speech aired on a university campus for a change) — but rather because a university-sanctioned group is performing such confrontational activism on a university campus, where "hate" is purportedly disallowed.

This puts diversity advocates and university administrators in quite a bind, I should think. Because to "tolerate" the political activism of the MSA, the university must simultaneously allow for "hatred" against women and Jews (the latter not really much of a problem, of course — provided the wretched Zionists don't threaten to sue). Unless, that is, one is able to alter what constitutes "hate" by simultaneously altering the feminist narrative to conclude that Muslim women who "Americanize" are somehow traitors to their own cultural milieu, and so shouldn't be granted the protections of American women who are treated as kitchen and laundry room chattel. Which, here, would manifest itself with a deafening silence from the Women's Studies Departments.

Indeed, that's the rub. Hate-speech codes cannot be combined with "respect for multicultural traditions" which include hatred, at least not without blatantly conferring privileged status on a precious few (thus undermining another supposedly important value of liberals: equality and equal treatment).

I'm less bothered by this prick's exercise of free-speech rights than by the fact that only he and fellow privileged Musllims are now allowed to actually exercise such rights without fear of investigation, disciplinary action, possible expulsion and even possible criminal charges.

To repeat myself: Imagine what a state-sanctioned religion would look like. It would have a panopoly of special rights and special protections, granted and enforced by state and quasi-state institutions.

Does the current regime look terribly much different from officially sanctioning Islam as the state religion?

1 The Muslim Student Association was founded in 1963 by none other than the Muslim Brotherhood.

MSA chapters exist on virtually every major college campus in the U.S., and at least one chapter was linked to financing terrorists in Chechnya and Bosnia.

2 Why is this guy still in School?  If someone had done that to a Muslim, they would have been expelled.

4 The MSA is also financed now by CAIR, which is named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the trial of the Holy Land Foundation, going on now in Dallas, TX.

6 Even more disturbing than the thuggishness of the Muslim interviewer, was the rather dhimmified posture of the Jewish student.

After the stupid s.o.b. said '9/11' the first time, he should have been kicked in the balls.

7 Why do we allow muslims to move to this country?  They don't have a right to move here and their religion is incompatable with modernity or reality.  Why would anyone want that here?

I am reading Mark Steyn's 'America Alone'. Europe is gone, and I am not very optimistic about America when I something like this. Learn from us. They burn 50 worshippers in a train car, we arrange paradise for 5000 of them. They stay in line for next 5 years. Repeat.

Judging from his accent, dawahworks is of American ancestry. His ancestors spent hundreds of years overcoming slavery only for him to sell himself back into a slave religion. Arabs and a dead tyrant from a thousand years ago are his master now.

He's a disgrace to his forefathers.

15 I think the young women were not expecting the interview to take the turn it did.  I'll bet if it happens again they'll handle it very differently.  Islam is, by nature, an intimidating religion and attracts the type of male in this video.  My guess is he hand picked girls he suspected would not put him in his place.  Either way, he and his organization should be removed from the campus.

16 The muslims' greatest accomplishment?  Writing extensive instructions on the proper procedures to clean oneself after buggering a goat.

Posted by: Master Shake at September 06, 2007 03:33 PM (tcMQZ)

17 Tushar D is right.  Also, we are asking for trouble by allowing Muslims to come here.  Jihad is a duty Islam imposes on all Muslims.  Therefore, ALL muslims are potential terrorists and should be treated accordingly.

Bunch of morons, all of them.

The students, not the buildings.

20 Going back to my earlier comment, look at the 2 people he interviewed.  Sure, he's an arrogant jerk, but that isn't terribly unusual for a "true believer"  (think: Ron Paul!)

But look at them: the product of an American University.  She keeps saying that everyone should do what they want.  There is no right position - only feelings.  She even says "You can't judge".  She's completely accepted the "tolerance" concept - people can do whatever they want.  Unfortunately, she's up against someone who isn't that tolerant.  And she has no idea how to deal with that.

As for the other guy, how lame is he?  The interviewer keeps saying "911", and he pretends not to hear it.  Rather than point out who was really responsible for 911, he prefers to avoid the issue.  If it had been me, I would have said, "911?  No, that was done by Muslims.  19 of them, to be specific, with help from others in Al-Qaeda".  Then I would have asked how he felt about that.  Did he cheer when he heard the news?  Other Muslims did.  How did he feel about that?

The two interviewees?  Hopeless.  Not willing or able to defend themselves.

21 I'm probably too empathetic, but I'm not gonna come down on those kids for not being up to a fight. It's club recruitment day, and who expects some asshole to accost you in such a thuggish way? That jewish kid probably couldn't believe his ears. You know how it is when some stranger says something so outrageous to you that you can't even believe that you heard it right? Or it must be some kind of joke?

I was like that at that age because I was just too damn polite, and taught to always be helpful. Some kids need to learn that they don't have to be nice to every idiot who accosts them.

Anyway, I'm on UTSA's mailing list, down there with the nickel and dime donors, so I think a little email to them is in order.

Frankly, I would have been delighted if the kids had stabbed the asshole interviewer.

It is real easy to know what to do after the fact, but being confronted by a Muzzy dickhead would throw most people off. Personally I would have just kept walking to keep down the urge to beat the shit out of the puke.

I'm with Tushar and mike.  They launch an attack we wipe out a city and kill every living thing in it, and 100-to-1 is proportional.  When they complain we killed women and children we just ask, and what is your fucking point?

No Muslims should be allowed in this country without a 24-hour a day minder and a return ticket that's use is enforced.  If they're gonna complain about being oppressed then let's live up to our part of the oppression.

26 Its a little old, but the "Sands of Passion" series is comedy gold.

A reluctant suicide bomber who fakes a fever to keep from 'going to work', a passionate young lady who keeps picking up men who end blow themselves up (one of whom has nightmares beforehand and wakes up screaming "I know you're all virgins, gentlemen, but I'm not ghey!"), a patriarch who can only be saved by an organ transplant from a Jew, etc.

Version 1 here - of 6 so far, I believe.

"I'm with Tushar and mike.  They launch an attack we wipe out a city and kill every living thing in it, and 100-to-1 is proportional"

I didn't say that we should wipe out cities.  I doubt that they could even  give us a reason  to do something like that.  It doesn't look like Islam is going to mix  well with western culture and if you are going  to inject it you had better be damn sure that what you are doing is for the right reasons, not just a lazy and stupid person "celebrating diversity".  It doesn't look like the majority of people in the US are willing to do anything  that doesn't make them feel good (and be  a fucking jerkoff  moralist)  and I don't see what we will have left in ten or twenty years.

It is one thing to take a bunch of immigrants in (it is always difficult, but people at AOS under-estimate mexican immigrants imo) and a whole other to import a religious war.  People in the US are stupid about religion because we haven't had to deal with the nonsense in any major way.  Thanks to whoever thought that muslims would work in western culture, ima gonna enjoy the religion wars that didn't need to happen.
