Episcopal Church: Divinity of Christ No Longer Central To Christianity

At last, the first Muslim /Christian priest/imam Islamist/infidel!

Not only is she obviously not a Christian at all -- I'm sorry, but that bit about "have no other Gods before me" and that other one about "the light, the truth, and the way" are rather important -- but she's not a Muslim, either. Newsflash: Islam considers "polytheists" infidels and blasphemers. And what the hell is she but a polytheist?

Shortly after noon on Fridays, the Rev. Ann Holmes Redding ties on a black headscarf, preparing to pray with her Muslim group on First Hill.
On Sunday mornings, Redding puts on the white collar of an Episcopal priest.
She does both, she says, because she's Christian and Muslim.
Redding, who until recently was director of faith formation at St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral, has been a priest for more than 20 years. Now she's ready to tell people that, for the last 15 months, she's also been a Muslim — drawn to the faith after an introduction to Islamic prayers left her profoundly moved.
Her announcement has provoked surprise and bewilderment in many, raising an obvious question: How can someone be both a Christian and a Muslim..?
She says she felt an inexplicable call to become Muslim, and to surrender to God — the meaning of the word "Islam."

Redding's bishop, the Rt. Rev. Vincent Warner, says he accepts Redding as an Episcopal priest and a Muslim, and that he finds the interfaith possibilities exciting.

I'm paraphrasing and I don't remember who said this but, it seems to me that the Episcopal Church has been diluting religion for so long that finally they have reached the point that they no longer believe in anything. Now, a robust, self-confident, religion comes along and it fulfills an inner need that this airhead minister/imam senses that she has.

37 Well, why shouldn't she? A (sadly) growing faction of the population enters into the Church as a mere social function. In ecumenical groups, I've met these people. Officers of Church groups and others of like types who can't even be forced to make definate statements about basic fundamental pan-sectarian Christian theology. It "might not be inclusive enough". And the elites then wonder why people flock to more capital F Fundamentalist church groups, people can sense and are attracted to leaders/ministers/etc who *gasp* actually believe what they are preaching and in the Bible. I'm not talking about retard "creation science" types, I'm talking about writers and officials like Bishop Spong who deride those who hold to concepts such as a personal God or the Resurrection of Christ as dangerous fundamentalists.

Dude, 3.5 has been out for years now. Druid/Cleric is a perfectly acceptable (if silly) multiclass, so long as your deity allows you to maintain an alignment that's neutral on at least one axis.

I'm pretty sure you can't go from a cleric of one god to a worshiper of another, though. You'll lose all your clerical abilities until you straighten up and atone to your original god.

D&D 3.5: makes more sense than the American Episcopal Church.

A) Realize that the two are mutually exclusive, and choose one or the other.

B) Learn enough about the new religion so that you can counsel people of either faith from a position of knowledge.

C) Whitewash both faiths, stripping each of every ounce of meaning, all the while demeaning those who criticize your insipidity as "unenlightened".
