Another Great Liberal Fairy-Tale About Bush

John Kenneth Galbraith's son, named after his father (Moron Galbraith), tells an amusing tale that, on the eve of the War in Iraq, someone attempt to explain to Bush that there were four or five different religous/ethnic factions in Iraq.

"But I thought Iraqis were Muslims!" Moron Galbraith claims Bush said.

Hahahahahaha. What a dope. That Bush -- so intellectually incurious, so lacking in nuance.

Wanna guess how the story ends?

Hint: Kinda similar to the "Julius Caesar Shakespeare quote" and "Thomas Jefferson Quote" and "Lovenstein Institute Study On Presidential IQ's" stories.

PS: Moron Galbraith defended the made-up bullshit story by stating, "I found it plausible because it so fit the facts."

1 It has to be drugs. You can't have this many normal looking people saying such stupid things unless their brain is under the influence of some mind-altering substance.

2 That was in reference to Galbraith, not Bush.

3 That's what I love about Bush. According to the Left, he can't find his way out of a paper sack, yet he keep baffling them like he was Einstein. It's called 'thinking'.

8 100 Iraqis are dying everyday from sectarian violence. That's no fairy tale.

But who cares about that, afterall those angry moonbats fake quotes from him. The fact that Bush's incompetence is responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of human beings does not matter because his opponents are so full of HATRED and ANGER.

I mean the right never, ever, faked quotes from Clinton.

Posted by: AJB at August 06, 2006 11:43 PM (C8fuN)

9 Here, I thought it was the terrorists killing all those people.
I understand they are your best, good Gitmo friends, but still, they are responsible for the violence around the world. I know it is easier to kick around the Jewish Lieberman instead of confronting a sexually backward shame culture that believes women should be covered up and castrated. A culture that wants its black muslims killed, and gay muslims crushed under stone walls, but all this falls to the wayside when someone like Bush is in charge. He doesn't truck with gay marriage, and thinks America is the best country on Earth. Plus, he is a Christian. The tolerant Left cannot tolerate anyone who actually believes in God.
Someone is effing the pumpkin, and it ain't Bush.

Posted by: Stormy70 at August 06, 2006 11:53 PM (SXQle)

10 The thing most pleasant about the left's derision of Bush's intellect is watching them prove their lack of it whenever they try to say something substantive. Case in point, this lovely debate between Christopher Hitchens and George Galloway.

Hitchens: Facts, reason and piercing wit to spare.

Galloway: Talking points and formulaic ad hominem.

Just classic.

11 Hey AJB!

Got some really bad news for ya!

When the US hands the reins over to the Iraqi government, I expect to see a whole lot more killing in Iraq!

Mucky and his band of splodey dopes will get their asses handed to them by the ING, and the U.S. can sit back and shrug, and rest comfortably knowing that we never bombed a mosque that didn’t need it.

12 100 Iraqis are dying everyday from sectarian violence. That's no fairy tale. Sectarian violence precipitated and funded by Iranian, Syrian and Saudi interests that would necessarily have filled the vacuum left by a deposed Hussein regime, with or without our occupation.

That Hussein needed to be deposed is a fact beyond reproach. That the United Nations would have been the best choice for such a deposition is not.

If a 100 people die in a car bombing in Indonesia and there are no reporters there to see it do they make a sound?

Also in the solution constrain it to reality. Time travel as I know it is not a viable option. So the following aren’t solutions.
If we had not broke up Sadams army.
If only we would have gone in with more troops.
I'll add my unrealistic solution, if we dig the S!@# out of their ears maybe negotiations will finally work. Unfortunately the s##$$ is too deep and the military controls all tools for removal.

23 It's just amazing to me that all these retards are linking to that story without bothering to check and see if it's actually, you know, TRUE. For Chrissakes, they even said "CLAIMED Bush said."

And of course, rather than addressing the fact that the story is (yet another) lie, they want to change the subject when trolling. Like we'll just forget all about the fact that Galbraith is a lying moron and they bought it, hook, line and sinker.

LOL!

Oh my God, I just figured it out. It's the TIMING! Adnan Hajj is a Rove plant, and the fake photos were a setup to bury the Galbraith story! LAYERS!

Wow, Bob.  I get that you guys seem to think that the President of the United States is a gibbering moron and are ready to think the worst of him, but do you really, honestly believe that he knew nothing whatsoever about Iraq before the war?  After all, as you people like to point out whenever you get the chance, his "daddy" presided over a war with them just a decade before.  And, I suppose, none of his devious neocon advisers ever mentioned anything about Iraq to him?  Ever?  That seems rather unlikely if Bush was "obsessed" with Iraq, no?

At least you seem willing to grant that the man can read, which, for a BDS lefty, I guess that's big of you.

Then, after the claim was roundly debunked on LFG, he went around posting the same BS on every other blog he could.

28 Bill,

First off, we did not disband Saddams army, they ran away, there was no Iraqi Army.

Should we have rounded up all the conscripts and forced them to serve under the Sunni officer corps that was loyal to the Baath party?

More troops?

How many,where and why?

Typical Chickenhawk, you want to send more people to the front, as long as they are not you.

I'm looking forward to being impressed by your military expertise.

There's a funny thing about that link. It doesn't say that any quotes were faked. It suggests that he was taken out of context, but that not the same as faked.

33 Let's say that 50,000 people have died in the 3 1/2 years that we've been at war in Iraq. That comes to about 15,000/year.

The alternative to war was the continuation of the U.N. Sanctions. However, prior to the war the left wanted to have the sanctions lifted because of all of the death and suffering resulting from the sanctions. The number always thrown out there was that over 1,000,000 Iraqis had dies during the 10 years of U.N. sanctions. That comes to 100,000/year.

Posted by: Eric at August 07, 2006 09:20 AM (3f3uN)

34 I am not sure about those numbers Eric, but I agree 100% with your point. The left doesn't seem to care nor understand that MORE Iraqis were dying under the insane dictator than they are now. They seem to like insane dictators and prefer them over trying to establish a democracy. Yet, they wail and gnash their teeth at Bush, who they claim to be an insane dictator? Layers? Or Dumbfucks? You decide.

And then he says real loud, "I jus done red on a telemopromptomer that they's two kinds o' moslems, the Shoney's and the Shit's. An ahm gonna kills'em all with genocide an stuff."

And then Bu$H started ooh-oohing like a monkey and stuff and juMped up on the counter and crapped in his CheeseQuake and started flinging feces and made up in BLACKFACE using his own shit and stuff.

CHEESEQUAKEGATE! CHICKENHAWKS CHEESEQUAKEGATE!

The president of Reuters called me himself and said "This is the most plausible piece of freelance journalism i've ever heard in my LIFE. Because it so fits the known facts."

Take that you chickeNy chickenHOCKS!
