The "No Labels" Terrorist: James Holmes Has "Middle-of-the-Road" Political Views (JWF)

Obviously he was inspired by No Labels member Michael Bloomberg.

No Labels' stated mission is to get over party labels, push past ideological gridlock and "solve problems," an echo to Bloomberg's calls for "common sense solutions."
ABC's super-sleuth Brian Ross just emailed to thank me for the scoop. I had to find it in a UK paper.
Brad Garrett, a former FBI profiler, said: "I see someone who appears to be very high functioning. He has some significant mental health issue I believe."

Six years after the video, Holmes was almost unrecognisable after dying his hair orange. His profile posted on the dating website Match.com was headlined "Will you visit me in prison?"

"The first thing people usually notice about me is my soul penetrating eyes," he wrote. "Learning is really great, knowledge is power as the famous Sir Bacon [sic] said." Holmes also said he liked techno music, had "middle-of-the-road" political views, was agnostic, and "definitely" wanted children.

Meanwhile, the techno-loving, agnostic, middle-of-the-road mass murderer appeared in court today. Doesn't look like he's laughing much any more.

164 >>>It still doesn't seem like anything goes to trial quickly anymore.

I don't know about Colorado but some states have statutory time limits and the defendant has to "waive time" for it to go beyond the time limits. They mostly do because they need to prepare, know their client is guilty and will be convicted, and isn't going anywhere, i.e., it's not like they will ever walk out of jail. In a capital case, the longer they can delay things, the more time they can buy their client before execution.

OJ did not waive time. It was a tactical decision to force the DA to trial knowing that they would not be ready.

Almost all capital cases in Texas are tried within a year. Partly because they don't charge all the counts. Therefore, takes less time for the trial and the state appeal. They usually finish the state appeal within a year.

Virginia averages about 7 years for a capital case while Texas takes about 10-12. This means until execution.

165 All I know is that when my leftard brother want to try to obscure what he's really talking about, politically, he sometimes hesays he "doesn't like labels". If you don't call it something, then people can't realize that it commienonsense, I guess. It's kind of a different twist, vs.the old "come up with some euphemism that makes it sound like something that's the oppositeof what it really is".

Maybe the whole idea of Obama being "post-partisan" is like that. Or maybe that one was more ofan arrogant, "Obama's views are The One True Way, making any other set of opinions obsolete." Yeah, OK, on second thought I'm going with that second explanation. But the idea of "No Labels" meaning "I'm Trying to Hide Who I Really Am" still applies.

Posted by: Optimizer at July 23, 2012 07:21 PM (As94z)

166 "Middle-of-the-Road" is code for "I'm-Not-Telling", and yes, I have seen many hopelessly far-left liberals call themselves "just normal".

But the vast majority of people heading for a PhD would be Lefties. The Left objectifies people as slaves existingfor the sake of thestate, and that seems more consistant with gunning random people down, than when a person supports the rights of individuals and personal responsibilty.

Posted by: Optimizer at July 23, 2012 07:36 PM (As94z)

167 I think we had a better functioning justice system when we used to have a trial and then take them to a public gallows or old tall cottonwood tree and hang them straight away.

I think it is patently unjust to keep people like this alive through technicalities strings pulled by cynical leftist lawyers who are against the death penalty.

these lawyers and politicians against the death penalty are in my opinion aiding injustice in cases like this and brevik who murdered 80 and technically would get out in twenty years. these laws sounded enlightened to the libtard circle jerk but they actually feed the demise of society.

we need to simplify and streamline till the end of that line gets back to an old cotonwood.
