"Sheriff" Joe Biden: You Know Who's a "Leading Legal Scholar?" Al Franken, That's Who

They told me if I voted for John McCain, we'd have a cretinous buffoon a heartbeat away from the presidency. And they were right!

"He has been one of the leading legal scholars," Biden said of Franken today, according to the pool report. He also said that Franken "is deadly serious" as a senator...

The Romney team is meanwhile "bracketing" Joe Biden's campaign appearances, dogging him with high-level surrogates to contradict him. But I don't see any pouncing on this farcical claim yet.

It won't help. They're bleeding constituencies... women, Jews, Hispanics, young people, old people, probably shedloads of non-govment union members... who do they have left? I need not ask, so don't tell. Hard lefties, gays, Mexican Hispanics, and blacks. Not a winning coalition. So mark it down, Biden's replacement will hit at least two of the above.

eleven, I live here. The idiocy is breathtaking amongst our MN politicians.

The worst part is a lotof this can be traced to the Independence party. These washed up ex-Democrat and ex-RINO hacks usually poll about 5% in the MN elections.

They attract just enough of the head in the sand voters to swing elections one way or another. We have Stuart Smalley as a US Senator and Governor "I'm too Stupid to work for the family business" Dayton. I live in Michelle Bachmanns\'s district and vote for her just to balance out the crazy quotient from Brian Ellingson and the rest of the Progressive Communist Caucus.

Managed right, you could get a Sunni secular state to balance out the al-Qaeda / Wahhabi nuts in Saudi - and to give Syria the shits. Better, you get a Kurdish state strongly pro-American to put more shits into Syria, and also into the Turks and Iranians.

The only downside is the leftover streaming two-rivers of shi'ite; keeping Iran from getting their claws into that would be a fulltime job.

But these are open to serious debate. I don't rank it as a bad idea - just one that needs consideration.

216 eleven, I live here.

There is an inbred feeling in foreign policy circles that breaking up colonial constructs, designed to be un-governable without foreign power, is a bad thing. I don't get it, but changing it seems too hard. Too many entrenched interests tied to existing elites, the risk of multiple civil wars, a distrust of ethnic homogeneity as some sort of rejection of the modern socialist state that is blind to ethnicity, etc. It pops up every so often, and the elites smack it back down.

Gotta disagree on this one.VP doesn't matter - until it does. Preznits still die at times. Look what happened when that shit sack LBJ got in. Also, Truman was the natural successor to FDR, and while less evil, he still gave mainlandAsia away to the commies.
I contend that theVP is the farm league. Biden being VPmeans that even if Obastard wins another term, they have nobody for the following election. That's why Cheney wasa mistake - we didn't use the VP post to groom anyone for when Bush left office. No good succession planning led to McVain and his folly.

336 A pro-Palestinian group's symbolic "eviction" notices on the dorm room doors of a Florida college have Jewish activists fuming and university police probing possible death threats against the group's leader.
Students for Justice in Palestine, a pro-Palestinian group at Florida Atlantic University, came under fire by Jewish activists after it posted the notices on the dorm room doors of about 200 students at the school’s Boca Raton campus March 30.
“They are creating an environment of hostility that will affect those students who are pro-Israel and marginalize them,” Yael Hershfield, Florida associate director of the Anti-Defamation League, told FoxNews.com.
Students for Justice in Palestine claims the mock notices did not target Jewish students and were meant as a demonstration against what it considers the eviction of Palestinians from their homes by the Israeli government. In a Thursday statement, the university said the fliers should not have been distributed, but added there is “no evidence that the postings were intended to target or intimidate individuals of any particular religion, national origin or faith.”

Dear Mrs. Samsel,

Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion in our store.. We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against your husband, Mr. Samsel, are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras.

1. June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other people's carts when they weren't looking.

2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in House wares to go off at 5-minute intervals.

3. July 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom.

4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, 'Code 3 in House wares. Get on it right away'. This caused the employee to leave her assigned station and receive a reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn resulted with a union grievance, causing management to lose time and costing the company money.

5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of MMs on layaway.

6. August 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.

7. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the children shoppers he would invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department to which twenty children obliged.

8. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?' EMTs were called..

9. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.

10. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.

11. October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the 'Mission Impossible' theme.

12. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his 'Madonna look' by using different sizes of funnels.

13. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!'

14. October 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!'

And last, but not least:

15. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, and then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here.' One of the clerks passed out.
