| Wild-Ass Internet Rumor: Biden To Be Swapped Out For HillaryDo I believe it? No. Not even remotely. Not even a teensy-tiny little bit. RBT says the source is "plugged in," but PUMAs are not above a little trouble-making, are they? But if the left can parrot ridiculous claims about Palin thinking "Satan Lizard" dinosaurs lived 4000 years ago, why can't I publish a not-so-ludicrous claim? This just in from the PUMA's:I have to say: This would be a disastrous move which might work but is so likely to simply end the Obama candidacy I can't believe he'd do this after a few weeks of bad polling. This is the sort of Hail Mary you only attempt when the clock is winding down and you literally have no other choice. He isn't even waiting to see if Palin wilts and public opinion turns? Extremely doubtful. However: Lizards of Satan. So I'm posting it. Note to Howard Kurtz: I'm no more irresponsible than you are. "Exact words," asshole. If there's anything here, there may be a post about it here. But there isn't yet. So maybe there isn't. Note: The tone's wrong, too. If you had a real scoop, you would just put it out quickly, unadorned. This "scoop" seems to be making an argument that this should happen-- which is entirely unnecessary if it actually already has happened. Still. I'll toss out the rumor and let Obama deny it and try to disprove it. That's how the MSM does it, and that's good enough for me. Comments1
Cue McCain ad showing Giuliani at the convention listing Obama's flip-flops and joking that Biden shoulda gotten that VP thing in writing in 3.... 2.... 1....

More to the point, Biden wants out.
Whether his wish is granted by Hillary is another matter. Obama has no say, because if Biden jumps ship, that's Biden's choice. Posted by: I ain't Obama's granny at September 12, 2008 04:15 PM (F1b/5) 4

Ha. Nonsense.
For this to happen, Obama would have to admit he was wrong to choose Biden in the first place. The next time Obama admits he's wrong will be the first. Posted by: Slublog at September 12, 2008 04:19 PM (R8+nJ) 6

Yes. Obama being shown to be making a desperation move will lead to an Electoral Windfall. Of course. Posted by: Stinky Esposito at September 12, 2008 04:20 PM (MMC8r) 8
A lot of this was started last night after George Noory put on a numbers lady and tried to put forth the idea that Biden was actually going to do this sort of thing.
I'm not putting a lot of stock in it, and would determine that this is a very bad decision if Hillary would accept. Not because I like McCain/Palin, but because 2012 seems to be Hillary's year. And the PUMAs say that. Posted by: Zettai Zettai at September 12, 2008 04:20 PM (Z9IOH) 9
My super secret spy source at ABC news told me the same thing yesterday. He's been right in the past. I can't believe HRC would bite at this point, but I'm a bit anxious nonetheless. A move like this, though a gamble, could blow the whole thing wide open once again.

Now I will say that Pamela Geller is not a reputable source. That smear monger was one of the people pushing in the face of all evidence the ridiculous, many times discredited Obama Certificate of Live Birth smear.
Plus she's earned her reputation for being plain nasty when it comes to her solution to the "Islamic problem". Her solutions would be similar to those of someone else disreputable and nasty in regards to another Abrahamic religion. Charles Johnson at Little Green Footballs has long since washed his hands of Pamela and I would suggest you do too. Posted by: Christoph at September 12, 2008 04:23 PM (hawOV) 14

Look, if the vanishingly small chance that Obama dumps Biden for Hillary actually comes to pass, it will not work. It might - MIGHT - juice up the Democratic base, but every other person on the planet will look at it as a sheer desperation move. I try to be as pessmistic as possible, but I can't see how this would help Obama. It would make him look like an absolute clownshoes candidate.

"I have no doubt the PUMAs are pushing this, though. The rumor makes Obama look weak."
Slublog, that's a great observation. Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs was tied in close with TexasDarlin, the PUMA fraud largely behind the COLB smear. They were both debunked over and over again by AJ Strata and actual award-winning computer forensic experts who were willing to give their own name. Finally after being debunked over and over again, TexasDarlin's anonymous "expert" went underground and hid, which naturally didn't stop TexasDarlin's smears in the main. As I said above, Pamela Geller is not a reputable source. Posted by: Christoph at September 12, 2008 04:28 PM (hawOV) 22
Okay, step away from the monitor, take a deep breath and think - what are the implications if this happens?
Some say, Barry wins big. On the other hand, it is an admission of hideously poor judgement which was supposedly his main selling point, and it immediately sinks his ship. I have absolutely no idea. I don't think Hillary would do it. Her best bet is that Obie get's his ass handed to him in November opening the door for her in 2012. If Obie wins, then she stands the chance of playing second fiddle for 8 years (she's already done that, right) and by 2016 the electorate may have had enough of the decimated economy/defense/ooc spending that a dem won't have a shot. Hill's best bet is that Obie loses.. Posted by: Clancy at September 12, 2008 04:30 PM (HPYJV) 30
Actually, Hillary would have ALOT to gain from this because it would be a near disaster for Barry.
She'd be on a national ticket and have the ability to say, "See - I tried to come in and help this poor fumbling black man. I did my part." Still, not buying it.... yet. Posted by: Editor at September 12, 2008 04:31 PM (GTpOW) 31
While I expect Biden to be thrown under the bus at some point (just because it seems to be The Obama Way), I'm not sure why Hillary would go for it. I'm just hoping Biden can hang on long enough to be shredded in a debate with Palin first. Then he can drop out to spend time nursing an infected hair plug or something. However, this being mentioned in a post along with George Noory just has my Mayan calender ending senses tingling: Not because I like McCain/Palin, but because 2012 seems to be Hillary's year. I wonder, though, if the move might backfire because the returns show that the Bidens have been amazingly tight-fisted when it comes to their charitable giving. Despite income ranging from $210,432 - $321,379 over the ten-year period, the Bidens have given only $120 - $995 per year to charity, which amounts to 0.06% - 0.31% of their income.
========= A handy chart follows. I知 sure this isn稚 what the Obama camp had in mind when they refashioned the man who spent three decades in Washington riding to and from home on taxpayer subsidized Amtrak into A Man of The People. Perhaps he could have learned something from all his running mate痴 high-minded talk last night at the National Service Forum about helping his fellow man. http://www.commentarymagazine.com/blogs/index.php/rubin/30031 Posted by: topsecretk9 at September 12, 2008 04:32 PM (BkiPn) 35
If Obama won, he wouldn't last more than 4 years. Clinton would be kicked out of office with him and would have to wait until 2016 to run for potus with the hindrance of her association with a losing administration.
If Obama loses, she can run in 2012 or 2016. Posted by: Boobenfloppinschtoppin at September 12, 2008 04:33 PM (e07gK) 36
Besides, I'd love to see the "experience" battle rage after that happens. Woohoo, two junior senators who've both spent most of their brief careers campaigning, the more experienced of which is in the VP slot, versus a 26 year senator and a 6 year mayor/2 year governor. Yeah, that'd be a challenge.

Why in the hell would Hillary go along with stepping in for Biden. What''s in it for her? Please. There's no way she'd be part of some half baked scheme to bail out Obama. He is the One after all. The only person she'd step in for in Obama. Now, if old Biden met a sudden and unexpected demise, then maybe there would be a chance. Otherwise, it's "bad judgement" on Obama's part and/or "a poor job of vetting Biden". And a loser. Posted by: SlaveDog at September 12, 2008 04:33 PM (H6Jyg) 38

Biden did make a few gaffes post-convention; but be honest, you'd have to google to find anything major ("Hillary would have been a better choice", while the very model of a Kinsley gaffe, can't have hurt much more than Obama's ego). The reason Obama's polls look like a dangerous ski slope now is because of Obama. Mind you, Obama is the kind of egomaniac who would blame his running mate anyway. IMHO, Hillary would take the VP slot if and only if she knew for certain that Obama was going to lose. The last thing she wants is eight years of impotence as Obama's VP. Perhaps if he'd offered it to her as a consolation prize in the presidential campaign, she would have taken it. But for her him to come to her now is yet another slap in the face. If she joins the ticket now and Obama loses, she looks good ("Hey, I took one for the team!") and positions herself to become senate majority leader and a run in 2012 run. I must say, too, that if she were majority leader, she would be a formidable opponent to President McCain. So, my opinion - offered for free and worth every penny - is that if Hillary comes on board, you can stick a fork in Barry. Posted by: Brown Line at September 12, 2008 04:42 PM (VrNoa) 51
I think some people are forgetting how much awful, awful bilge Hillary has been carrying around now. It didn't come out in the Democratic Primaries, but scores of books have been written about her.
All that would come back up. I don't think Michelle would allow it. Posted by: amos at September 12, 2008 04:42 PM (gYsFF) 52
Is Hillary better than Biden? Sure, I guess, as a cynical political selection. But you'd have to engage in a willing suspension of disbelief to think she'll undeniably garner a win for the Democrats. She has plenty of baggage and lots of skeletons to discuss, too. I don't think she'll take the spot to get roto-rooted for a) just the VP position and b) just to remain subservient to The One.

Just a guess, but I don't think Hillary would accept VP. She's all ambition, and she's not going to settle for being Number 2. In the event Joe steps down, he'll need a woman to counter Palin, and he'll want somebody with foreign policy experience. Condi Rice has made kind comments about the Obamessiah. She's experienced and, dare I say it, she's black. Say an unkind word about her stands against the Israelis and giving money to Arab terrorists and you'd not only be racist, but sexist, Islamaphobic, and a tool of the Joos. This idea that "Obama didn't pick her" is just as ridiculous. She wasn't going to accept being the #2 and sit by until 2016......She would have made it impossible for Obama to pick her. She's played this masterfully, pretending to be victimized so that her supporters would abandon Obama and she's made it look like it's all his fault even going so far as to stand in solidarity w/ Palin. If Obama is considering the move she will crush his narrowing chances by seeming insulted that Obama is merely pandering to women and thereby destroy his candidacy which is exactly what she wants.........It was much easier in nasty lil' Chitown huh, Big O???

The Democrats/MSM are such a beautiful psychodrama right now. The intrigue, the backbiting, the soulsearching, the lashing out. I think they honestly don't have a fucking clue what has happened to them since the Obamanator's victory lap around Europe. I'm guessing that what follows fairly accurately reflects the general MSM thought process right now: What the hell is going on? We've tried every trick in the book. Gone to every extent possible but still our new Lord and Savior could lose. Did the rubes not see the hordes of screaming Germans genuflecting before the Newsiah? Have they not read the hundreds and hundreds of glowing, slavering worship articles we've written about Obama? Haven't they seen the scores of dishonest hit pieces that we put out about McCain on a daily basis? I mean we gave Palin the full Dan Quayle treatment and people still like her. WTF? Hillary stepping in to accept the VP candidate slot seems unlikely. If she still has any aspirations to the Presidency, waiting 8 more years to run, or being swept out after 4 years of Obama-fumbling, will end those dreams quickly. Staying away the probable Obamadisaster will give Hillary a chance in 2012. I don't see Obama being replaced on the ticket; if it could've happened, it should've happened at the convention. Biden being replaced seems unlikely; forcing him out would alienate most of the national Democratic party, and Joe bailing would signal a loss of confidence in the Presidential candidate. Condi seems a poor choice. Even though she's very much more qualified than Obama, her performance as SecState seems mediocre; she seems to have not handled the ME very well, and she seems to have been completely outmaneuvered by the Russians (her specialty, IIRC) in Georgia. Additionally, she would (unintentionally or not) make the race, literally, all about race. Any change to the Democratic Presidential ticket at this late date would reflect very badly on Obama's judgement; the claim could be made that he has none, and simply follows the dictates of others; who? Souros, Ayres & friends, Rezsko, the Chicago Machine? Obama gets to play the hand he has. I suspect that Joe will warm the bench until Nov 5 or 6. There are reports that Obama's going to start getting very personal in his attacks on McCain and Palin. McCain needs to spend a week or two defending against these attacks (my suspicion is that Obama will stumble), then counterattack: all of the lies about Palin, Rezko/Ayres/Wright, Michelles Bootcamp, Obama's failure as a community organizer, Obama's funding choices on the CAC board, Obama's weak foreign policy ("no preconditions"), etc. Finally, everyone who does not want Obama needs to vote for McCain. Any other vote will elect Obama. Posted by: Arbalest at September 12, 2008 05:40 PM (1j+ex) 76
#22, J.J., I'm with you...

Just after the McCain VP Selection at the end of August, I mentioned that it probably wouldn't be more than three weeks before Biden goes to the doctor and has to bail as Obama's VP. My son guessed 2 weeks. Anyway Hillary wouldn't agee to do it. She would let the Obama swing in the wind before helping her party. She's pissed too!

The only thing that would prevent this from happening is if hillmonster doesn't want the job. Otherwise? The media will smooth it over. All hillary supporters will revert. It will be HARD to push the meme that Barry made a bad choice, it will be forgotten. Posted by: kal at September 12, 2008 05:46 PM (UJstC) 79
It's not going to happen. 1. It would do more harm than good. 2. Hillary won't take the second spot under Obama. 3. Obama won't make the offer to Hillary. Obama's issues with strong women are what got him into this mess in the first place. Posted by: Looking Glass at September 12, 2008 05:50 PM (/j9WY) 80

At this point, even if it was true, it wouldn't help matters any. All it would look like is Senator Obama doesn't know what he's doing, has no leadership ability, is running scared, and is trying to copycat Senator McCain. It's campaign suicide, not that he's winning anyway at this point.

They certainly have in the past and they certainly will try. But the media are toothless now. They have lost all credibility and even grandmas in Greensburg realize that the 'Deciders' aren't to be trusted.

Canada Free Press is suggesting that it may happen.
Senator Biden to Quit, Hillary to Become Obama痴 VP? http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/4978 This campaign is starting to get seriously weird. I wonder if Guliani's comment and Sarah Palin's are meant to provide ammunition for later. Do they suspect something like this? Why would Obama go visit Bill Clinton? What would that accomplish that a flunkie couldn't? Any other election cycle and I would dismiss this as lunatic ravings but, given what has already happened... What I don't quite understand is what would be Hillary's motive here, unless she is setting herself up as the White Knight to Obama's damsel in distress as a bid to secure the Democratic Party after a defeat. Al Gore would say yes, but probably not Hillary. Lady McBeth isn't stupid. I really cannot see this leading to an election victory. Posted by: Travis at September 12, 2008 08:14 PM (/XCyf) 93
Guys, don't get too excited. The media still has power, they still influence and sway people. It just takes time: look how long it took to turn people against president Bush, nearly 6 years. They've lost the ability to shape culture as completely, but they still can be there like Wormtongue, whispering in the ears of America constantly, poisoning their thoughts.

Teh Obamessiah had the temerity to steal the coronation event from the Hildabeast. She is never going to forgive him for that... Or at least not until he loses the election and gets taken out with the recyclable trash. Hillary is gonna sit back let the Obamessiah campaign limp along to impotence & defeat, then announce her candidacy for the 2012 nomination on January 1, 2010. Here's a theory.
Anybody read the stuff that came out a few days ago about the Saudi and Iranian funding and connections that got Obama into Harvard Law and paid his tuition once there? Maybe true, maybe not, but don't hold your breath waiting for the big packs of lawyers and media wolves to go investigate THAT! At any rate, regardless of how sympathetic or unsympathetic Obama may be to Islam and to Muslim causes (and I think there's enough out there, in his own words, to show that he is VERY sympathetic), millions in the Muslim world believe, correctly or incorrectly, that Obama IS a Muslim. My question is: How scandalized would the Muslim masses be if their beloved candidate, Barack Hussein Obama, were to choose a WOMAN as his running mate? Is he perhaps dancing to their tune? Just askin'. Posted by: mohammeds9yearoldwife at September 13, 2008 03:59 PM (wgyYI) 99
What I meant to say is, maybe that helps explain the otherwise puzzling fact that he never even vetted Hillary for the VP spot, i.e., his Muslim backers would never stand for it. And the reason he has such problems with women in the first place? Well, being abandoned by his flaky mom didn't help things, but the MSM seldom talks about the fact that he spent his FORMATIVE years being raised Muslim--a sexist ideology if ever there was one. People can overcome all kinds of things, but what happens to a person before the age of 10 is extremely powerful in shaping the way they view the world.
Posted by: mohammeds9yearoldwife at September 13, 2008 04:23 PM (wgyYI) 100
Wow! One heard so much about McCain's awful vetting process. Did anyone notice how totally unqualified Caroline Kennedy was? She let herself be used as a show piece. She hasn't been in Washington. The only time she shows up is when she wants to make money on her boring books, sell her family mementos or support her Uncle Teddy. Why would Axlerod or Obama think this woman would have any skill in vetting. Let's hear about that vetting process.

Horde Leveling GuideThis wow power leveling guide starts at level 21, if you need wow powerleveling guides for any other powerleveling level range (from 1-21 for example) please take a look at this power leveling page. This wow power level guide is optimized for FAST leveling with a minimum of grinding sessions. wow powerlevel Quests are important, they give rewards and faction and are less boring than pure wow powerleveling grinding, BUT sometimes some quests are really a time waste and we will skip those and replace them by good wow power leveling grinding session when it is necessary. Some people say that wow power leveln grinding is always faster than questing, this is true in theory when you don't know which wow powerleveln quests to take and which to avoid, and what is the best order to do them. With this fiesta online guide, questing will be very efficient and much better than pure grinding. Follow each fiesta online instruction carefully and you will see for yourself. The last chaos quest choices and order to do them are optimal so that you run as few as possible while doing the most possible and then turning several last chaos gold quests in at the same time. This lastchaos gold guide will be very useful for both veteran and novice players. I try to keep the amount of last chaos gold information as short as possible. So even the guide itself is optimized for the minimum reading possible, to save time! Let's get started immediately then! Everything described in this lastchaos gold guide can be done solo (besides when I say otherwise). However you can follow this guide while duoing, grouping, it's not a problem, it works too.wow power levelingwow powerlevelingpowerlevelingpower levelingwow power levelwow powerlevel

There are charging status LED indicators on our <a href="http://www.laptopbatterystore.co.uk">laptop battery</a> chargers. The LED "STAUTS" lights in red and
the LED "CHARGER" flashes in green while the battery charger connected to the power supply. After you've loaded the battery, the LED "CHARGER" lights in red. The LED "CHARGER" flashes in green and red alternately when the battery is almost achieving maximum capacity (over 90%). The LED "CHARGER" will lights green when the charger completed the charging process. All of our batteries are manufactured with high quality <a href="http://www.uk-batteries.co.uk">uk batteries</a>, which may not be the same material as that in OEM <a href="http://www.laptops-batteries.net">laptop batteries</a>. Actually, almost all electronic device manufacturers do not produce the batteries used in the devices. They all have to be manufactured by outside battery manufacturers. Therefore, there's no difference in turns of quality and reliability. Our aim to provide the best quality and high-performance batteries to our customers, we have adjusted the batteries' internal resistance for more stable and more reliable. As a result, there will be a little bit difference in our batteries run-time comparing with the OEM batteries' (no more than 10%). Posted by: McLean at December 02, 2008 04:54 AM (Cv7Vt) 124
