Don't Go Over There, But Sullivan Is Pushing (of Course!) Trig Trutherism Now

I've written a bunch of the heavy hitters in the right-leaning respectable blogosphere to suggest a full boycott of linking Sullivan, forever.

Yes, I wrote, if you need to refute "Milky Loads Power Glute's" daily dose of dementia, do so; quote and critique with attribution. But don't link. Let anyone compelled to go to his site type in the URL and find the post themselves.

This miserable Taker of Milky Loads screamed bloody murder when his own privacy was invaded; note how the Queen of Hypocrisy turns on a dime when he has the chance to probe someone else's Power Glutes of Load-Taking.

There is a limit, and our addled attention-whore of perpetual drama went beyond that a while ago. Now he's way beyond it. He is not a serious commentator; he is a vicious bridge-troll of a propagandist, a nasty little rotten-hearted bitch who gets his jollies assailing a sixteen year old girls because her mom threatens his wannabe boyfriend's chances of being elected.

He seems to have suffered the onset of full-on mental dementia. Since we're airing "uncomfortable theories" of a medical type here which need to be explored, I doubt there is anyone on the blogosphere who hasn't wondered -- frequently -- if Sullivan is suffering from AIDS-related dementia.

Ugly, yes, but we're all thinking the same thing; and as we're now apparently free to speculate about such ugly things, I see no reason why Sullivan should be further shielded.

He's gone fucking bananas, due to AIDS or steroids or other reasons, and if we're not observing a minimum level of politeness and civility anymore -- if innocent 16 year old girls are now valid targets -- I see no reason to continue extending the courtesy of polite silence to Sullivan.

True, he writes like a 16-year-old girl, only without as much emotional control and even-keeled restraint; but he is, supposedly, an adult man. If a child is to be subjected to this by Sullivan, then Sullivan can hardly cry foul.

(Oh, but he will, of course! And that's the sickest thing about this. Our Queen of Perpetual Narcissistic Self-Fascination will whine like a bitch about this post, and castigate others for linking me. Because I wrote stuff about Sullivan one-half as nasty as he's writing about a 16 year old girl. )

Let's see a brain scan, buddy. Let's get some answers to these questions. Medical fucking answers.

He is now simply regurgitating the most vicious smears he dredges up from Democratic Underground and Kos.

There's a point at which people have to say "Enough." For Sullivan, we're well past that time. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

It's with a heavy heart I personally cast out this "brave" "conservative" "thinker," but what are you going to do. A brain-addled conspiracy crank unable to observe the minimum levels of respectability and human decency is simply not fit for polite company.

And neither, quite frankly, are his (innocent) cobloggers at The Atlantic. They're innocent in this, of course -- Jefferey Goldberg took Sullivan to task for his increasing comfort with open Jew-baiting (as opposed to the closeted Jew-baiting he used to indulge in), and Ross Douthat lit him up for sheer hypocritical ridiculousness, and I doubt Megan McArddle is exactly proud to share a masthead with this piece of shit -- and yet nevertheless they need to be boycotted, too, until the Atlantic fires him.

He should be blogging at the Daily Kos. That's where he belongs, and it's about time respectable magazines stopped treating him as anything more than a particularly nasty, particularly excitable, and likely brain-damaged Kos diarist.

Email of the Day: Hey, if the narcissist Sullivan can post emails praising himself all day, why not me?

The Rev. E. Buzz Miller parodies Sullivan's (most likely self-penned) praising emails here. I defy you to distinguish between this and Sullivan's typical "emails of the day."

This, sir, was a post that was a Grand Slam in Oakeshottian, Burkean terms, sir, total unequivocal, irrefutable, unassailable, incontrovertible, impeccable Grand Slam of a post.

What a marvelous, excellent post, I haven't ever seen a post like this that flows and has such emotional power that I am just left speechless at how, just how, actually, really good it is.

BTW: Not only are there pictures which show Palin appearing quite pregnant (or at least having gained about 40 "Mystery Pounds" for no good reason), but apparently there are also bloggers writing about meeting Palin in person back in April, reporting her as "pregnant."

I guess they just wrote that stuff in anticipation of the left's upcoming attack.

Oh -- and of course Palin was wearing a fat-suit.

Duh.

Obviously Un-Pregnant!

I don't expect Milky Loads to have much discernment about the female form.

Remember, this was the guy who freaked out at the thought of using red ink as fake "menstrual blood" to get terrorists to talk. He'd never heard of something so terrifyingly awful.

Althouse: "Stop prying into other people's vaginas, even if you oppose them politically."

Oppose the people, or oppose the vaginas? I guess with Sullivan it is, as they say, "overdetermined." (Fake menstrual blood -- aiiieeee!)

See-Dub's on Board: Michelle Malkin's coblogger won't link Drama Queen.

As regards to a couple of people I wrote: They wrote back, basically, "Dude, that's been my policy for, like, forever."

NSFW: Is trolling for "Milky Loads" from anonymous sex partners really the best medical practice?

The people have the right to know what sorts of shady sexual shit supposedly "respectable" "conservative" "analysts" are into. How can we trust the judgment of someone who wants to take Milky Loads in his Power Glutes?

We can't.

It's about time we aired this important issue.

It's about the hypocrisy and judgment, you understand.

Not merely cheap smears. No way.

Thanks to, um, Masturbatin' Pete.

Sullivan Makin' Friends All Over: A rep from the gay community checks in:

No condemnation from the gay community necessary. The Gay Left abhors him (still) for his former conservatism and endless moralizing about gay male behavior (until, that is, he was caught milking anything encountered in an alley). Gay conservatives can't stand him because, well, look at him.

One imagines the only gay person who approves of Sullivan would be whomever he's sitting on just at the moment, and even then the opinion is likely to be middling (and not necessarily from his own husband).

Remember when Sullivan wrote about how gay men would stray during marriage and that that was perfectly a-ok?

I think it requires some "airing of the questions" now that he's legally wed. You know, word vs. practice and all that. For the sake of the issues, you understand.

I really dislike McCain and was not going to vote for him. With the entrance of Palin to the race, I officially went back on the fence. Sullivan just tipped me over the to the Republican ticket. Fuck him.

Okay, that's misleading, that's Robbie from the Malcontent, who hates Sullivan almost as much as I do. So, honestly, I have to say his opinion doesn't really count as "new hatred."

But seriously, Milky Loads is a fucking bitch.

Incidentally, Robbie had me on his podcast one time to discuss our mutual Sullivan-hatred, but he, um, forgot to record it.

Seriously. I talked to this fucking numbnuts for an hour about Andrew Sullivan and he hadn't pushed the record button. Just kind of spaced on the whole "recording" part of the plan.

Nothing lost. It's not like my views on Power Glutes Andy haven't been publicized.

3 Ross Douthat, who I think got his start or at least some help from Sullivan when Sully let him guest blog, is getting fed up with him.

I've referred to him as a 2nd Rate Kos Diarist in a couple of posts mostly as a joke but now I'm wondering if that's even too kind a description of what the guy has become.

6 The combination of HIV and heavy steroids have indeed brought on dementia.

This is no joke.

It's called AIDS dementia complex (ADC).

The prevalence of the disorder is now increasing; the cumulative incidence is 25-38% and the prevalence is around 37%. Milder forms of ADC affect an additional 30-40% of patients. In 4-15% of patients, ADC is the presenting clinical manifestation of HIV disease. The multicenter AIDS cohort study found a rate of HIV dementia of less than 1% in asymptomatic seropositive patients.

Yeah, I've declined to visit Sullivan for a long time now but took a regrettable peekie-boo today in response to some of the stuff people have written about him elsewhere.

I was stunned by what a vicious little asshole he's  being toward Sarah.  What a vile, disgusting little bitch he is.

Seriously, what is there to differentiate him from a DUmmy at this point?

Fuck you, Andrew.  I hope Ace brings out the personal ad again, and leaves it up this time.

Ace,

Somewhere today I read a post by a woman who was on the plane with Sarah coming back .  She even posted a picture of an obviously pregnant Sarah.  She was with some tre something group and was thrilled Sarah was flying commercial and in COACH!  Find that post and put it here.  I've had to much Valu rite to remember where it was, maybe, red state?

We know Andi is a cocksucker, but we need the numbers so stop talking about that cocksucker.

Man that must have felt good to write...

Sullivan serves the same function as the MSM.  He fills the left's mind with poisonous thoughts and makes them think that their rotted belief systems are proper and the norm.  Then, those infected tools go out into the world and say stupid things that scare and offend normal, decent people.  I rather think he's part of the recruiting department.  In fact, I'll bet that's his motivation.

27 Sullivan may be suffering some ill effects from viral load, or his medication regimen, but those would actually constitute excuses for his unhingedness.  Sorry, the dude still has enough firing neurons to recognize what a legitimate threat McCain/Palin is, and he is responding in desperate but equally determined fashion.

When he starts pursuing wild theories about Cindy McCain's pet turtle then we can blame the (viral) disease, as it is the only disease that we can blame is leftism.

31 I stopped linking to Demented Andy when he endorsed Kerry in 2004. He has been in the US for more than 20 years and has never become a citizen. As an immigrant, I do not understand that. He needs to go back to the UK.

But as a soft-hearted liberal Republican and a fellow fag, I feel sorry for the guy. He is sick and takes lots of drugs for HIV including steroids which make one nuts. Also he's a pot-head and that makes lots of folks crazy too (including turning many into paranoid conspiracy theorists a la Truthers and Paulites.) Also he is "married" to a gay American clone who toes the gay agenda line - hence the man-crush on Obama.

32 I like to decide for myself, so I went to Sullivan's site.

The most awful of his awfulness was the "Things that Make You Go Hmmm" post, with Bristol cradling Trig while Sarah delivered her speech, and Andrew using THIS completely natural photo as proof of something. I don't know. Something nefarious, like Bristol loves Trig or something.

I held my niece today. I wonder what Andy would think of a photo of that... if I were a Republican VP candidate.

Andrew Sullivan is a total fucking asshole. I don't think you overreacted a bit, Ace.

I say, put it back up.

Finally, a word on "cocksucker."  It should be noted that my loathing of this bitch has nothing to do with the aforementioned sucking of cock.  Rather, "cocksucker" just has a bite to it that cuts right to the quick of this asshole.

35 Another lie from Sullivan:

Track is named for where he was conceived.

I quote from Wikipedia now:

Todd Palin has said Track's name came from the interest Sarah's parents had in the sport and the fact that he was born in the sport's season;

And from People:

Sarah's parents were coaches and the whole family was involved in track and I was an athlete in high school, so with our first-born, I was, like, 'Track!'

I detest what they're doing...and the only silver lining to this cloud is that it will likely backfire.  Poor consolation for those innocents that are slimed though.

63 "But the noise around this story is now deafening,"

The people creating it readily admit that it is probably not true. They get nothing out of it and the only reason they are even saying it to begin with is to hurt a teenage girl and hope that the family drops out. They try to add questions about judgement, but the purpose is to hurt the family. The attacks are pretty much the same everywhere you go so it looks planned imo. Tomorrow night Keith Olberman will probably have a special commentary about this critical issue and it will gain momentum. Rock bottom with Barack Obama, Kos, Andrew Sullivan and a bunch of internet people accusing a candidates spouse of rape and incest.

Obama has about 48 hours to tell his minions to cut it out, assuming they will listen, before it turns into the worst campaign ever. I can see why the clinton supporters hate them so much. I certainly do. I also look forward to a certain idiot whining about Republican Smears next week.

A really smart blogger, who I unfortunately can't recall, reported on the upcoming smear campaign against the Palins with advice from Gandolf "Whatever comes through that door you WILL stand your ground!"

This is where it gets ugly and gruesome and the enemies of civilization try to disgust us into surrender. They can't beat us or really scare us with any weapon a man would use proudly so they will vomit on our shoes and shit on the table hoping to disgust us beyond continuing.

Normally that works. Normally we have a choice and it usually isn't worth it. This time it is too important. This is their battle for Fallujah and we cannot let them win. We don't have to try to out-gross them either. We just have to hold our ground and look good standing tall amid the shitstorm.

It is a shame that Sullivans hatred for the conservative opposition to allowing him to marry his gay lover has spilled over to slandering Gov. Palin.

The only thing worse than a woman scorned is a flaming gay's hatred.

The quote:

Of course I had to check out the “Hottest Governor in the US” and quickly turned to see her pregnant (she has since had her baby) with bags and daughter in tote. Then it struck me as odd. Why is the Governor of Alaska in the airport and preparing to get onto my commercial flight?

I questioned PolarTRECer Craig Kasemodel an Alaskan resident. He let me know that Governor Palin sold the corporate jet after securing her official Governor position.

Governor Pallin said she would sell the jet because it was impractical and that the Alaska state inventory would be relieved of this dept. The jet was sold on EBay to Larry Reynolds for 2.1 million dollars.

I suspect that Excitable Andi has pretty much every single disease that a person who has been obsessed with swallowing as much human sperm, from as many possible sources, as he has been for lo these many years, could possibly have.   Plus, of course, AIDS Dementia.  Plus, let's not forget, the guilt that also eats his brain, along with all of his bugs, from knowing that he gave himself his own death sentence by being completely irresponsible with his body.

Andi is a cock-addled fool, who has viewed the world through sperm-colored glasses for so long he's actually insane.  Fuck him.  But not the way he likes it.  Fuck him in the ass with a chocolate-covered fence post tightly wrapped with concertina wire, and topped with a claymore anti-personnel mine.

But yes, I think this outrage against them rises to the level of actual malice and so the Palins should sue Excitable Andi for libel.  In Alaska, of course, where he freely subjected himself to long-arm jurisdiction by publishing this vile garbage.

Heh. I dunno.

I voted on the DKOS poll as to whether or not they should pursue this. I puzzled it out for a minute but then I got distracted and forgot why I was torn on the issue. Now I remember - oh yeah, political gain isn't worth it. Woops.

I voted 'yeah', go for it.

Morons...

On the plus side, most people who don't allready fantasize about milking Obama's milky loads with their power glutes will never hear anything about this.

On the other plus side, those that do will be revolted.

As for Palin and her family... well this is not the end, or even the worst.

They will eventually get around to making calls for raping her.

86 These are the things that make me wonder how anyone could take such a batshit insane conspiracy theory seriously:

Let's say the intent was there.  Let's say Palin -wanted- the world to think it was her child instead of her daughter's.  -She knew it wasn't-.  She -wasn't pregnant-.  But she -told- everyone she was, and yet, knowing she didn't and never would -look- pregnant, it didn't occur to her to shove a couch cushion under her shirt to make it look that way until the 9th month.

How fucking moronic can you get?  I'd call Andi the penultimate sucker of cock, but he'd just preen proudly.

98 Sullivan's specialty is mental viruses spread by diseased language. It's extremely disturbing that the word 'real' has become 'the world of gangsters, extortion, hostage taking, corrupt cops, prostitution, and trafficking in women." It got introduced by MTV and the resultant hiphop bling culture. This is now the normal usage of the word amongst street and sex criminals. "Sex" and "Love" are similarly poisoned words.
He's part of a local gang that is trying to do another Grunge movement. Find a medium-sized city, create a musical sensation that acts as a magnet (in Seattle it was disaffected young males-- here it is girls) and then add heroin.
You can't imagine the depths of the sick. I can't wait for the trials.

99 Hey if you want never to mention the repulsive little toad again ,please be my guest. Of course you might not win that coveted Profanity King Award again for a while, because without the Vile One to correct, there will be a lot less need for the heavy artillery.

I despised him way back when after he 'turned on a dime' and began to cast Bush as the devil immediately after his genitally-driven politics were outraged by the failure to rubber-stamp his gay marriage dooey. I branded him as a tool then. Shallow and obsessed.

But lately I realize that I made a mistake. I was far too kind.

He's still a tool but now I see that he is a completely unhinged VILE tool. With no self-awareness and no clue as to his degeneration. It's easy to blame the 'meds' ,but maybe the sad truth is that it is really just him when you strip away the veneer. And he just ran out of reasons to keep it concealed.

I have decided there should be a Sullivan's Law which would operate in exactly the same way as Godwin's Law. The first party to reference or quote Sullivan with anything less than dripping contempt automatically loses whatever discussion was in play.

Frankly I hate the guy. He makes my skin crawl now. Nothing and I repeat this. NOTHING is beneath him. Because in Andrew World he is on a crusade. I leave it to you to devine the ONLY goal of this pathetic endeavor.

This episode is so ugly.

We have, a teenage girl and a baby with a birth defect...

And the left in all their marvelous, unassailable, wonderful ethical framework of unassailable social justice and fighting for America and children then decide to completely destroy the teenage girl and tiny baby with horrible rumors that are about as mean and nasty and from the dark recesses of the mind as anyone could get.

I guess I was mistaken thinking Steve Kangas, the guy who wanted to kill Richard Mellon Scaife but missed and hit his head instead, was the craziest of the bunch.

Not really, it's more like Andi Sullivan and the Kos freak. Maybe Kangas was really sane.

Stephen King probably looks at these guys and thinks, "wow, I couldn't write anything this insane and sick."

119 They're usually like that, sears poncho, they're just more like that than usual.

Generally, they wish for Republicans' deaths. Being sexual perverse on their fevered imaginations' part is just an added bonus.

These are disgusting people. Remember, these extreme leftists usually support partial birth abortion of full term babies. Get the legs out, keep the head in, insert needle, suck out brains, crush skull with forceps, blood oozes out, pull out baby in pieces, problem solved, mother and father no longer punished with a baby.

Obama goes a step further and believes a baby "meant" to be aborted mistakingly born alive, should be denied medical care and left to die.

THESE are the sort of people you are dealing with. Is it a big surprise to you they would trash a decent 17-year old girl, accuse her of being a slut, and/or a victim of incest?

Her mom's a lovely woman who chose life over death when her baby was disabled. Therefore, you're right... the extreme leftists do hate her more than usual. They are that evil.

124 This is why conservatives are increasingly hard to find in top leadership positions.  Family values are incredibly important to them, and there are few who are willing to subject their innocent families to the depravities of the Left.

I can't imagine that in Palin's discussions with her husband and children about this nomination, that they could've foreseen the virulence and pure evil of the nature of the Left's attacks against them.

The hatred being spewed against Palin and her family is an indication of the fear and terror she inspires in the Left.  In my mind, that makes her the Absolute Right Person for this job.  The Left would not hate her so much if she weren't dangerous to their sick ideologies.

However, no matter how strong Palin is - and she is indeed - she is vulnerable when it comes to her children.  As is her husband - obviously a man who would do anything to protect his children.  No loving parent would want their children to suffer as the Left intends her youngsters to suffer.  The lies that are printed against them today will follow them for the rest of their lives.  Shameful and true.  As a mother, it breaks my heart - and inflames my fury.

I am not a praying person, but in this case I will try...

May God bless Governor Palin, her First Dude, and their wonderful children.  May they find the strength to withstand the evil and hatred and corruption coming against them.  And may He protect their precious children today and in the future.

129 No condemnation from the gay community necessary.

Fuck him.

Posted by: mesablue at August 31, 2008 11:35 PM (5yNaE)

137 I am a deist, not a Christian. I think there's some type of Creator God -- or maybe the universe is full of so much information, it's self-aware on some level similar to a human brain -- I don't know and I guess that would be scientific pantheism, but anyway -- and yet when I think about this hideous evil, I found myself walking around my home a minute ago thinking maybe I am a "Christian deist".

No, not a Christian in any recognized sense. I rather think Jesus wasn't the only "Son of God", but rather a preacher whose followers had many interpretations of his work, and the supernatural one took hold and won out... due to force among other things.

But like Thomas Jefferson who was a deist and went so far as to make his own Bible with the supernatural parts of Jesus' life cut out, I think, "Yet such are the fragments remaining as to show a master workman, and that his system of morality was the most benevolent & sublime probably that has been ever taught, and consequently more perfect than those of any of the ancient philosophers."

I find that I don't believe the Bible is true, and there is hideous evil in parts of the Bible performed by "God" (allegedly -- I don't believe this) and "His" spirit/angels/etc. Anyway, you don't care about my religious thoughts.

But I find that the most decent, wonderful values are often those taught by Christians, if seldom realized in real life. It's one of the mysteries of life to me why those who often agree with me on the cosmological questions are often -- not always, but too often -- such evil hideous twits.

Yet those people who believe fables and a book which improbably contradicts itself relentlessly are often wonderful and decent.

That's why I like/love someone like Sarah Palin, my current girlfriend, even the President. Because they are good. In all of those 3 cases, they're probably better than me.

Bless Bristol and may she find the strength to live well in the face of this evil as you called for in you wonderful prayer, Redhead Infidel, and for her family as well.

And for all of us.

146 Bart - I was. I'm in Illinois, so it matters little. I cannot express my disdain for McCain. My approach to Obama was "Well, maybe if we vote a black president in, some of the racial bullshit will subside." That's a paper-thin (and incorrect) reason to support anyone, but it was the rationale of a voter who didn't really care for either of them.

However, I love Palin, and she's the only candidate in this race who I feel enthusiasm for. Now that she's in, I'm paying more attention and suddenly remembering just how awful Obama is (I live in Chicago, I know the politics, I still can't believe the pass he's getting in the media).

Every time I forget just what Obama's background is, I see Sullivan ignoring it and remember. With this Palin stuff, all the vicious politics of Chicago and the Left have suddenly leapt into the foreground for me, and I'm having something of a "What the fuck was I thinking?" moment this weekend.

Thank you Ace, I needed this.  Very cathartic.  I've despised that sick fuck Sullivan for awhile now and his latest crap only adds to my loathing for him.  In 'honor' of this unmitigated fucking bastard, I just did what I swore I wouldn't do when McCain was being an ass about illegal immigration:  I donated to McCalin/Palin '08.

Btw, let me add something here as a gay man myself:  g-damned fucking schmucks like Sullivan are exactly why AIDS is a problem.  This fuck is out there trolling for all  the cock he can manage to stuff in wherever (which in itself adds to the problem of AIDS) and is doing it without even bothering to wear a condom for his own sake, let alone that of those morons stupid enough to jump into the sack with him.  I despise him for that too and every other sick fuck out there who follows his example, gay or straight.  Does Sully have AIDS dementia now?  I don't know and I don't give a fuck.  He got the disease because he is a dumbfuck who cared more for how much dick he could get in life than really loving someone and committing to them, which btw includes more than seeking self-gratification.  Yet Sully knows nothing about that and doesn't give a shit about his partners, except how to use them for his pleasure, put their lives in danger and then toss them away for the next sexual conquest.  He is beneath contempt and deserves his fate.  He rigorously courted it, let him now lie in the bed(s) he has made.

176 George Bush announced he was against Same-Sex "Marriage" on a Monday, and on Tuesday, Sullivan suddenly discovered that contrary to his previous positions, Bush was a terrible president and Iraq was terrible mistake. It's that simple.

Sullivan also has the bitchy little habit of claiming that those who disagree with him are repressed homos. Which is actually a form of gay-baiting.

There is a reason abortion (and he sees Trig as an abortion "issue") and SSM are linked, and its not just because of the sexuality. It's because the plan for imposing SSM is the 'Roe' model; liberal judges would force it on an unwilling public while liberal politicians claim they're personally opposed, but, gee, the courts have spokenblahblahblah.

He's not demented. Depraved, yes, but not demented. He knows just what he's saying. And its evil.

Funny you should say this, Bart, this is exactly why I decided to vote for McCain a couple of months ago.  Obama IS the new Carter and that scares the crap out of me considering the dangerous times we live in.  Hence why I'm willing to postpone the fight I'd dearly love to have with the religious right nutjobs until a later date.  Defense comes first over everything else.

181 Gnostic Christians refer to the "creator" who is responsible for creating a horrible fucked up creation as Ialdabaoth. No one is really very sure as to the derivation of the name. This is our explanation of why the world is so messed up- in this case the cultural world in today's America-- and the origins of evil in our world-- in this case Sullivan's massmedia-promoted language-viruses.

The most relevant extra-canonical text is The Secret Book (or Apocryphon) of John.

I don't doubt that the left is screaming over this, but they've been duped into accepting some very bizarre social trends, generated and propagated by... well.. no word suffices except WICKED people. Many Christians have a very Pollyanna view about evil, but this death culture got started in the cultural crisis sparked by the pointless mechanized murderousness of World War One.

The Left will calm down and choose life over death.

182 Here's partially why this conspiracy theory is so stupid:

1.  The truth is that Sarah Palin, a thoroughly decent mother, discovered that her baby had Down's Syndrome and, rather than aborting him, she gave birth to him and is now raising him.

2.  If the smear is true, the truth is that Sarah Palin, a thoroughly decent mother, decided to protect her pregnant daughter by pretending to be pregnant herself.  Also, when they discovered that the baby would have Down's Syndrome, rather than aborting him, her daughter gave birth and her mother is now raising him as her own.

How do either of these scenarios reflect badly on Sarah Palin?

Mystifying.

BUT

Can I get a pass from time to time if I choose to link his name to the Hard and Solid page?

Ace put up a post about them at one point (and no I don't know how he found them and I don't want to know) but later felt bad about it and took the post down because it was really rough on Sully.

As I recall Michelangelo Signorile, another gay journalist, outed his ads because he disagreed with Andrew's conservative politics (at the time), and Andrew later admitted that they were his. All in all it was a pretty sordid and embarassing affair.

I will not read him on a train,
I will not read him on a plane.

I will not link him from my blog,
No soup for you, foul lefty trog!

I will not view his noxious lies,
Made-up some shit? Quelle surprise!

Excitable Andrew, trash-talking queen,
As seen in Atlantic, and Time Magazine.

When the work is all done, the trash has been talked,
He's off to the bar (once the beagle's been walked).

With black guys and bears, he's looking to score,
In gang-bangs and orgies -- the man is a whore.

I don't swing that way, but man, if I did
Well, never with him... he trashed Palin's (kid's?) kid!

I would not ream his Power Glutes,
Nor rub his cock until it shoots.

I wouldn't touch his Milky Loads,
He's fucked his way through three zip codes.

HIV pos., not long to live,
But he won't screw dogs -- he's conservative.

He's a sucker of cock, (8 inches, no less!)
"Uncut preferred," but alas, I digress.

In short, I abhore this despicable man,
I do not like A. Sullivan.

214 Dude, seriously?  This is an old story.  They're acknowledged.  He posted about it, about people digging into his personal life, etc.  It was on the daily dish.

Google that stuff and Michael Signorino or Signorelli or whoever (you know, gay writer, hates Sullivan).  He had a long thing on this.

Which, incidentally, I thought was disgusting.  *At the time.*

But I don't think Milky Loads can claim any right to privacy anymore.  If young private citizen girls don't have it, surely this ass-douche doesn't.

219 I live in Alaska - I voted for Palin.  The attacks on her character are without basis in fact. I think it's pathertic that left wingers think that they need to start smearing a 16 year old to get their party in the White House  These people should be ashamed of themselves.  The Palins are good people - honest and hardworking, which automatically disqualifies them from membership in the democratic party...

225 one really crazy thing is that the picture of the daughter was from Jan 06 (they claimed the date was changed, but it was from Gov palin's swearing in!) The baby is born april 08. Then they have commenters claiming the girl is pregnant *now*. Anyway, if this grand conspiracy is going on, the girl taken out of school and the mother claiming to be the pregnant one, why are they taking official pictures of the daughter in body hugging clothes? Then you get a bunch of (I think) mostly guys insisting that every pregnant woman shows earlier based on their vast experience with their wife's or whomever's pregnancy. One guy says Gov palin would not have worn low heels if she was pregnant b/c HIS wife only wore flats during pregnancy, no low heels. Who can prove this false? She can be wearing a body suit like in desperate housewives. Her doctors might be lying and her medical records forged.

You know what, I'm going to mock one of Sully's posts on the subject, and I hope it will answer your question.

Sully:
There must be plenty of medical records and obstetricians and medical eye-witnesses prepared to testify to Sarah Palin's giving birth to Trig. There must be a record of Bristol's high school attendance for the past year. And surely, surely, the McCain camp did due diligence on this. But the noise around this story is now deafening, and the weirdness of the chronology sufficient to rise to the level of good faith questions. So please give us these answers - and provide medical records for Sarah Palin's pregnancy - and put this to rest. (emphasis added)

I can only marvel at Sully's conception of "due diligence". I wonder what that would've been like, during the vetting process. "Excuse me, Sarah, but we'll also need to look at any and all records relating to your pregnancy, just to make sure you didn't fake your pregnancy to hide the fact that your daughter was pregnant due to incest with her father. It's just a normal part of the vetting process." Either that or it would require some sort of private investigator to search through her medical records. Because if she was faking it she wouldn't just up and admit it, right? So due diligence would require hiring a team of investigators to make sure she wasn't faking a pregnancy with a fat suit. I'm sure that sounds reasonable to Sully.

Can anyone imagine this happening with the Democratic candidates? Hey, I think Joe Biden's wife faked a pregnancy, she should release all the records, unless she has something to hide. And maybe she did it because Joe committed incest with his daughter, just throwing that out there. Does any of that sound "reasonable"?

Posted by: dorkafork at September 01, 2008 10:31 AM (kErJj)

229 3 Ross Douthat, who I think got his start or at least some help from Sullivan when Sully let him guest blog, is getting fed up with him.

I've referred to him as a 2nd Rate Kos Diarist in a couple of posts mostly as a joke but now I'm wondering if that's even too kind a description of what the guy has become.

They could turn them into shrines dedicated to right-to-life, 2nd Amendment, energy independence, etc.

That would be poetic justice, wouldn't it?  And a hell of a warning to the next asshole who tries to destroy a politician's child.

Ask yourself:  why was Andrew Sullivan trolling for sex on the Internet when there are so many gay bars out there?

The reason:  he wasn't after men.  He was after the group who can't get into gay bars.

Children.

A reasonable analysis can only conclude that Andrew Sullivan is, in fact, a pedophile.

Michelangelo Signorile is the man who exposed Sullivan's personal ads. I want to say Richard Goldstein, the editor of Village Voice at the time, had a hand in it, eventually writing a book called The Attack Queers which blasted people like Sullivan and Camille Paglia as being antithetical to the gay community, but I'm not sure the two were related.

Here's an old piece from Salon from 2001 defending Sullivan in the face of the revelations. It's full of dysfunctional links, but you can see that the story was indeed real, reached the MSM, and that Sullivan did indeed acknowledge the ads.

It's unforunate, because I did admire Sullivan for his gay conservatism around the time of the revelations, and I did defend him from the likes of Signorile, Musto, and Goldstein (I still loathe those men to this day). But Sullivan's slow descent into moral cretinism over the years with his final transformation into a vicious Democratic Underground conspiracy theorist have removed whatever defense he might have once been entitled to. Now, the only thing relevant about the man is the gross hypocrisy he engages in to smear his political enemies. And if his hypocrisy is the question, then the personal ad fiasco is relevant, imo.

239 "How do y'all know those ads are Sullivan's?"

It doesn't matter, Patterico. They are sold by his employer, and The Atlantic is responsible for the behavior of their employee. They could reign him in and say knock of the sick attacks on a teenage girl without (or even with for that matter) evidence, but they haven't. Someone at The Atlantic reads Sullivan and they let him go.

Putting pressure on The Atlantic's advertisers is an entirely just response in this case, don't you agree?

Posted by: Christoph at September 01, 2008 01:33 PM (hawOV)

240 I disagree.  IMO Sully's dementia is exactly in the center of the opinion cloud of the average DU/KOS/DNC consumer, and this is exactly why he needs to be read and talked about by everyone.  The old adage that sunlight is the best disinfectant... sometimes it makes a pretty good antibiotic too.
