Lefties are furiously scouring the internet for Sarah Palin's old position papers on NAFTA.

Just kidding. They say they want to keep the debate elevated and discuss the issues, but that is, of course, like so much of what they say, an utter lie. Mitigated only by the fact they're so self-deluded about their own righteous virtue and lofty intellectualism they almost believe it themselves.

So what are they looking for?

Well, check out the search which just landed on my site. And the various lefty sites encouraging searching in this direction.

So, I guess I'm going to keep getting hits for Sarah Palin swimsuit competition searches, with people searching for hot pictures of Sarah Palin in a bikini, or even totally hot gubernatorial action.

It's ridiculous. It's not like Governor Sarah Palin once posed for Victoria's Secret wearing nothing but high heels and a clown nose or something.

I'm just saying, whatever you do, if you want to avoid unwanted Google interlopers, don't post anything about Sarah Palin and her secret bikini pictures, Sarah Palin and the "Air Force Two," or homoerotic pillowfights between Governor Sarah Palin and Smurfette.

What to do? How do you attack this woman without insulting some of your own interest-groups? Women are sure to like Palin, and she is going to siphon off a certain amount of the pro-Hillary vote. Attack her too forcefully, and you look like bullies and drive more women into her camp. Any attack on her experience will only make Obama look bad in comparison. The only thing left to do is find some whiff of scandal, some taint or flaw that can be magnified into a deal-breaker. But I suspect that they will come up empty, for the simple reason that there's probably not much to find.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of "bounce" McCain/Palin gets after the convention.

Frankly,  Todd Palin has a tough job ahead.  First, he'll be seeing a big bunch of scumbags slander his wife in public and a bunch of porn fan idiots salivate over her body.  Worst, he won't have the option of kicking their butts and pushing their faces into the snow - he'll be expected to smile and step along right behind her.  Those snotty East Coast reporters will run him down for no college degree and for working for Big Oil.  Every family squabble will probed and exposed.  Their relatives and neighbors will be tricked into uttering damaging soundbites.

First impressions are that Mr. Palin is a level-headed guy, one whose head won't get turned by fame and who won't lose his temper.  By all evidence, they have a solid marriage in spite of the strains from her public life.

Still, the Democrats and the lefty press will be frantically searching for a weak link in the Palins.
