John McCain Ad: Hey, Have You Noticed the Media Has Taken a Shine to Obama?

Heh.

John McCain's old friend Chris Matthews gets a lot of screen time.

3 Chris Matthews was a disgrace last night on Leno.

How the hell does a lefty with absolutely zero wisdom rise to such a powerful place in the media??

In the tank, whatever emerges requires inversion before decision.

"The world gave us a present" translates into "We gave the world a present".

As per the ad, it needs more sarcastic ridicule of lamebrainitis, the epidemic that swept through the MSM in order to survive at all. Confine the MSM and require that they attend special SENSITIVITY TRAINING SEMINARS reiterating respect for opposing points of view in their workplace and their product!

Why do the media adore Barack?

Because Barack MIRRORS the media's formula.

Anyone who will not mirror the media will get no coverage, as John proved with the NYT censorship of his letter to the editor.

Barack has agreed to represent the media's formula. The media is for the media; they are only their owners' mouthpiece, just as BHO is only his owners' mouthpiece.

As per the tingling up the leg, it's either sexual arousal (Chris is a homo) or the no longer understood INSTINCT to choose either fight or flight. Those with independent brain functioning still understand the primitive impulse to reject contaminated, corrupted and polluted food rather. But the media are bought and paid for mouthpieces that partake of corruption, revel in its poison, and condemn the Constitution of the United States of America. That the ACLU published the DNC response yesterday to Mukasey Attorney General proposals for Congress to address is nothing to sweep under the rug of yesterday's news.

Posted by: maverick muse at July 22, 2008 12:32 PM (F1b/5)

5 The NYT is obligated either to give John McCain equal time/opportunity/voice or else admit that it provided free advertising for Obama and suffer the consequences of political corruption charges relating to campaign finance.

And it's not just the U.S. MSM:

7 With any luck at all, the Obamanation will not come to pass and the MSM will be left looking like that fish that looks like "The Scream" over on the left of Ace's front page....

8 Uhhhm, aren't most if not all of those media outlets part of publicly traded companies who have a fiduciary duty to their shareholders to maximize corporate earnings, and not use corporate assets as the personal political playthings of certain of their employees?

Just wondering.

In most cases, yes.  But the NYT is basically still a family shop, with the majority of Class B shares owned by the Ochs-Sulzbergers.  The editors were well within their rights to reject the op-ed, but I think doing so hurt them more than they anticipated.

13 Two questions:

--What is the point of such long Webmercials, generally?

--What is the point of this specific Webmercial, to guilty the MSM into covering McCain?  To provide material for viral spread of the bias meme?  I just don't get the point of that long a montage showing what the choir is already convinced of, and the not too many others care about.

15 Who's it directed to?  How 'bout:

- the shareholders of the companies who's assets are being misappropriated,

- the senior executives of the parent companies, who don't usually micromanage but will try to snuff out a problem when they see one,

- the voters, who are already skeptical (see rasmussans latest), may chose to by pass the media filter they no longer trust and judge Obama on what he says and does rather than what the media tells us he says and does - in other words, Obama's worst nightmare, and

- the press, who are biased, but also sleazy and fickle and may jump off the bandwagon and start pointing the finger at those who are left on the bandwagon (particularily if Obama's numbers continue to drop) rather than go down in flames - also related to first two points above.

In my opinion, attacking the media filter was brilliant.

He's likeable and has occasional moments of political insight.

But mostly because he works cheap.
