Christmas!: Barack Obama Cuts A Campaign Ad... For John McCain
I thought this was going to be a negative ad against Barack Hussein Obama. It is. It's just that he made it himself.
1 Thanks for framing this debate, for a minute there i was worried clinton would move the democrats to the center on the war and the military...but there obama goes running them way left again...easy easy target for the general. those soccer moms are still security moms obama.

5 Obama as Churchill:
we shall surrender on the seas and oceans,
we shall surrender with growing confidence and growing weakness in the air, we shall surrender our Island, whatever the cost may be,
we shall surrender on the beaches,
we shall surrender on the landing grounds,
we shall surrender in the fields and in the streets,
we shall surrender in the hills;
we shall always surrender,

25 Funny thing, Reagan also really hated nukes and wanted to work towards their elimination. He thought that the way to do that was through SDI - make them useless and unattractive. I personally don't think that would work - SDI won't do shit for a truck A-Bomb, but I could see where he was coming from. This turd would eliminate our nukes based on a pinkyswear from our enemies.
Can McCain just run that whole video as Fair Comment - or does he need to buy the rights.
Posted by: holdfast at February 27, 2008 02:23 PM (Gzb30)
26 Holdfast, IMHO if it's on the web already the potential for going viral is high, it's a freebie in more ways than one.

27 Jeez! What a freakin' a$$hole!
What he proposes in this videois to completely destroy our ability to defend ourselves (or anyone else in the world) from any and all quarters. Yet that (defense of the USA) is supposed to be one of the primary concerns of the C-i-C.
Combine this with his little proposal to turn US sovereignty over to the UN and he's not just a commie, he's a traitor.

39 I wonder how the McCain campaign can successfully deploy this video. For sure it's an "above the belt" clean hit in terms of the issues - it's Barack's own words, for chrissakes - so that's not a problem. But are there rights issues w/r/t to McCain using this video in a campaign ad of his own? Because, I can just see the ad right now: "Hi, I'm John McCain. But instead of talking your ears off about my opponent Senator Obama, I'd prefer to let the man speak for himself [cue videotape]."

46 This is the guy the left wants to run?
Republican presidential hopeful John McCain mocked Democrat Barack Obama on Wednesday for saying he would take action as president "if al-Qaida is forming a base in Iraq."
"When you examine that statement, it's pretty remarkable," McCain told a crowd in Tyler, Texas.
"I have some news. Al-Qaida is in Iraq. It's called 'al-Qaida in Iraq,'" McCain said, drawing laughter at Obama's expense.
Obama quickly answered back, telling a rally at Ohio State University in Columbus, "I do know that al-Qaida is in Iraq."
"And my friends, if we left, they (al-Qaida) wouldn't be establishing a base," McCain said Wednesday. "They'd be taking a country, and I'm not going to allow that to happen, my friends. I will not surrender. I will not surrender to al-Qaida."
It's almost as if bin Obama is some sort of magical negro SNL parody.

I'm unclear on the concept here. Is that, like, above DEFCON 1? And is it his perception that the President is some Yosemite Sam yahoo with an itchy finger?
Good Gawd. N. Chamberlain would be embarrassed by such policy. The only thing missing is a U.N. sanctioned drum circle.
Obama just shot himself in the foot. Over and over. McCain couldn't have made a more effective attack ad.
