Now I've been very clear on this matter since I first wrote on it back in 2008 -- Barack Hussein Obama II was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961, and is therefore a natural born citizen under terms of the Fourteenth Amendment to the US Constitution. I've said all along I believed that earlier documentreleased by Obama accurately reflected the contents of the original Certificate of Live Birth -- though I was wrong in thinking that there might be salacious details about his parents' marital status reflected in the document filed in 1961.
A couple of quick points.
1) Those peddlingnewconspiracy theories on this one forfeit the right to be taken seriously.
2) So do those who try to argue that Obama is not a natural born citizen despite having been born in Hawaii.
3) Note to Donald Trump -- "You'refired!"
4) None of this lessens the importance of so-called "birther bills" that require the filing of proof of eligibility of presidential candidates
5) Note to Barack Obama -- if our country doesn't have time for silliness, why did you choose to prolong it all this time, and to go on the attackANDOprah'sshow?

All presidential candidates are screened by various agencies, especially the ones that get to represent the party nomination. Too bad illiterate folks like you are still falling on the face of confusion about these simple matters. Keep harping.

Well excuse the rest of the sane citizens who could recognize that the COLB is a legally binding document which reflects the information available on the actual BC, certified and verified by the authorities. In other word, anyone who got problem with it is simply a conspiracy theory. Which brings us to your inane last statement: what does releasing the BC mean to these loonies? It only means that you would be appeasing them.
Finally, why don't you look around and surf the kooks on the far Reich website and observe that the conspiracy has not gone away but rather exploded. What does that tell you about the state of the Conservative extremists, i.e. you? That you are incorrigible and even at the face of defeat, you still refuse to condemn these cerebral handicaps and rather placing the blame on Obama. You have a long way to go in life.

Well, that's not what The Voices told me, so there.

Anyone who uses the term "Far Reich" also forfeits all credibility.
But let's consider the two points you object to.
You really don't get into the question of why presidential candidates should not be required to put on file documents proving their eligibility for the office they seek before they get on the ballot. That is generally a requirement for every other political office, so why not the highest in the land?
And as someone who has clearly and consistently pointed out Obama's eligibility for the office to which he was elected SINCE THE BEGINNING, I think I've got every right to argue that Obama ought to have defused the entire issue 3 years ago by releasing the document released today. After all, if American doesn't have the time for such "silliness" today, it is equally clear that we haven't had the time for such "silliness" for the last three years and he had an obligation to the nation to end the entire discussion.
1) President Obama, IMO, has had an elitest "do as I say, not as I do" attitude long before he and his merry band of theorists hit the white house.
A SYMPTOM of this is his REFUSAL to fully comply with existing laws that require all candidate to provide the same information us unwashed peons need to produce to get a passport, let alone run for the highest elected office in the land.
2) While I have long believed that President Obama was born in the U.S., I admit, in full disclosure, I had my doubts. I'm a practical guy - and too many small pieces of his story would have required such a MASSIVE cover up that it seemed highly unlikely he was born elsewhere.
But, again, it should never have come to this. If I refuse to produce my required documents and I am refused a passport: that's on me. The blatant double standard as to his BC, AND his college transcripts (personally, I think THOSE will show him to be a person of mediocre intelligence) - while GWB's were scrutinized for every CLASS show Obama's elitism, and the MSM's double standards.
3) Conspiracy theorists will be conspiracy theorists. I can't speak for them nor control them, but then neither should I be painted with the same brush as them, unless I am seen/heard actively supporting their POV.
No, what this shows is the MSM's collusion with the DNC in using every and any tool available to support this over-his-head-theorist-fraud of a president.
My problem with President Obama is his POLICIES. Not his color nor his gender nor his religion.
Black, white, green-with-red-polka-dots - I don't care : is he doing a good job?
Male, female, confused : I don't care - is he promoting America and American interests?
Muslim, Jew, Christian or Atheist: is he TRULY accepting of other points of view (not the multi-culti fake acceptance but is actually balkinization) and is not trying to force America, a traditionally Christian nation to accept being force fed a diet of revisionist villianization and PC Bastardization of history.

He was born here - great - we can claim him. He's OUR screw up. He's OUR elitest-sophomore-in-chief.
President Obama, for political reasons to embarress his enemies, and due to his elitism caused this "crsis" to happen - not the birthers.
That's my take - for what it's worth.

You and I are effectively on the same page -- though I will concede that I didn't ever have any real doubts about the man's citizenship. And you've hit my attitude towards him right on the nose.
Obama's Birth Certificate -- At Long Last
Really, we should have seen this thing back in 2008. Heck, I'd argue that the original ought to be in the National Archives.
